    Yours faithfully;

    A Muslim

  • @Abdelalielfakir SHUT! THE FUCK! UUUUUUP! Unless you're tyring to be funny...

  • @Abdelalielfakir Religion is apart of the disease, not the solution.

  • The world will not be safe until all nations support all nations.

Enough of this ally stuff! What are we trying to do, anyway, play Survivor and vote other contestants off the island?

  • Don't listen to the mainstream media so called "right" or "left" they both attack Ron Paul .. Ask yourself why is that? Because he's the REAL DEAL .. a Real Guy who actually Cares about America somehow got in the Presidential Race .. Are we going to allow the Corporate Controlled Media to convince us that he doesn't have a chance when in reality he's Polling in the Top 3 in all Nationwide Polls?

Nows the time to take back our country from this Left / Right monopoly! Vote Ron Paul 2012!!!

  • @N8Revolution WTF? LOL! Where you came from? "Ask yourself..."? Because most on internet is in english, you believe that everyone is American? "Are we going to allow the Media to convince us that..." Hello?! Speaking someone' else's word, having someone else's opinion, the "we agree", it's the nature of Americans. You just repeat and do what everyone is doing. Like this "Left/Right monopoly" thing, it's from Alex Jones, I watched that. At least give the credits! :)

  • you gentiles are Pathetic Always take some jew and make him god or Messiah just like the jesus and spinoza kerl marx and know this clown noam chomsky did you ever wondering why is this all your biggst gods and messiah and your intellectuals from right and left are jewish and you wonder how we the jews call are self the chosen people dont diss this

  • I admire the Noam Chomsky's contribution but This video is not at United Nations.

  • Whats Chomsky's email............gonygulu@yahoo.com.au........looking to connect about the outback aboriginals of Oz.

  • @gonygulu you can look it up on MIT website

  • @gonygulu ... Ward Churchill is who you want if your looking for advocacy in indigenous rights his views are radical but not inflammatory .... if i had Noam's email i wouldn't give it to you ... for all i know you could be a nutcase.

  • one more day and it wouldve been 6/6/06 lol

  • @zweezey not all muslims are actually muslims, many of them are agnostics thankfully. That doesn't change the fact that Islam is bad, and all religion is bad.. but Islam is much worse relatively than Buddhism or Jainism

  • Thank you for posting, I too am a Chomskyan. I would appreciate your comments on my video...thanks! :)

  • I see a lot of Sam Harris talk. Let's get one thing completely straight, Harris is a very bright person. But lets not include him in the same sentence as Chomsky, no one has Chomsky's knowledge reserves. Harris continuously misunderstands Chomsky when he criticizes him. If they spoke to each other on camera, I'm sure there would be a lot of disillusionment.

  • @Dymdez Lol! In this case, Sam Harris is hiding his brightness from his books, speeches, lectures, debates. There's not a single argument he can develops, except with a joke, metaphors, fallacy. An example of the complete logical argument he makes: "Think about a perfectly moral and infinitely peaceful society. Can you see a Taliban living there? As long as there are muslins living in America, America will never be America"

  • It's scary to think about who will be capable of replacing his voice. There's nobody in the public arena that even approaches his clarity.

  • Attention left-wing extremists....I am selling vials of Chomsky's shit for $150 bucks a vial. go to my website to make your purchase today!!

  • my nigga noam

    PAUSE!!!!!

  • Get'em Chomsky!

  • We are lucky humans beings to be living while Chomsky thinks. Prospects for Democracy 1994 is one of Chomsky's stellar talks. Another solid voice today is Chris Hedges, see his YouTube video: The Liberal Class & Death of the Liberal Class? Oct 22, 2010 from TVO. Hedges points out why both US parties are toadies for the biggest payer.

  • We need a lot more people to view Chomsky's videos.

  • @DontEatEggs666 quadruple like

  • pretty video

  • lol, chomsky is smart enough to know that if he speaks freely of the global warming scam, he would be shunned by mainstream media. he said there was overwhelming scientific consensus, 9000, lol, wrong normy, most of them are not scientists and those who are, are not climatologists, where as 35000 disagreed with warming were, but i know he knows, but hes afraid to speak out because he knows or was warned of what it meant. the old norm would have. a great mind like him could be got at.

  • @irishgeal1 ?? you made all this up

  • noam chomsky should know better than to make an analogy like the "man eating tiger" analogy he made... it sounds like the same kind of overstatement that pundits on news networks he's opposed to would make... usually he's more reserved than this and i respect him for that.

  • this guy is so good his speeches are like poetry

  • I just get it - WHY arent all the smart ppl like Chomsky in as leaders??? I mean BUSH - really?

As for Global warming - all that said ETS or carbon tax is NOT the answer as it doesnt change behaviour! I mean look at what BP has done ? thats the problem BIG corporations and their criminal ways of operation!

  • @Badwolf182 Wrong, so wrong. A carbon tax would change consumer behavior, but that's not even its secondary goal. Firstly, it would give power companies and manufacturers of energy consuming products (like cars) incentive to innovate and switch to clean energy sources. Secondly, the carbon tax would set aside money for the cost of crop failures and climate refugees instead of having those things shock the system.

  • @darkmiles22 WRONG! SO wrong! tax does NOT change behaviour. Climate refugees ?? u r too brain washed for me to have a discussion with....,.climate refugees - yep ok. The WHOLE solar system is getting warmer NOTHING to do with it being manmade!

  • @Badwolf182 What better name is there for Bolivian farmers who have moved from once rich farmland because it has turned into a desert in a generation? Climate change is already changing weather patterns so that hurricanes, floods, droughts, and famines are forcing people to move.

The problem is real and man-made. This is a science issue, get your news from a scientist instead of the easily distracted, sensationalist, false-balance media hostage to corporate advertisers.

  • @darkmiles22 U hav 2 remember that science is and has been politically motivated (ex evolution). I agree to a certain degree that bczo we live in a throw away society it affects our environemnt but not global warming per se. MANY scientists are saying that globalwarm'g is a lie. Will send u one a link. BUT a tax doesnt change behaviour. IF govt was serious we would begin with making consumer items that would last 30 yrs like it used 2. or have solar energy as part of agovt initiative, eetc

  • @Badwolf182 Serious scientific journals are one of the least politically motivated venues humanity has ever devised, b/c science demands evidence, of which both evolution and anthropogenic global climate change have an abundance btw. You sent me two links, both by outspoken neocons with an obvious agenda. Seriously, Monckton of UKIP?

Electronics and plastics are so cheap that the economy of disposable makes sense, and wind is much more viable than solar, but gov'ts are already on both. So what?

  • @darkmiles22 Neocons with an agenda? what bcoz they have an opposing view and point out scientific facts that dont fit into ur world view? The fact that u believe that its ok to abuse electronics/plastics bcoz its cheap (wow) yet u cry wolf abt global warming has just lost u all credibility. ALl ur doing is trolling here to put baselss arguments across to make global wamring APPEAR legitimate when its not.. Global warming is to take away private property and bring forth NWO. So goodbye!

  • @Badwolf182 aaaaaahahahahaha WHAT?! you are totally nuts man. Denile.......

  • @thejuryissleepless ...and I care about ur opinion bcoz........lolz

  • @Badwolf182 you DONT?! oh my fucking GOD ahH! i i i .... I CANT BELIEVE IT! LOLZ LOLZ LOLZ LOLZ! wow bcoz the neocons dont have an agenda! wow! LOLZ! OMG! and they point out scientific FACTS! ahh! I can't believe i never saw that! thank you. thank you SO much for enlightening me to your world of sweeping rationalities.

  • @thejuryissleepless wow Have you taken your meds? u seem a little crazy!!!

  • @Badwolf182 It was just sarcasm - and good ol' fashioned mockery ;)

  • Now, Chomsky, do I turn to thee, and mark my greeting well; for what I speak my body shall make good upon this earth, or my divine soul answer it in heaven. Thou art a traitor and a miscreant, too good to be so and too bad to live, since the more fair and crystal is the sky, the uglier seem the clouds that in it fly. Once more, the more to aggravate the note, with a foul traitor's name stuff I thy throat; and wish, ere I move, what my tongue speaks my right drawn sword may prove.

  • Which to maintain I would allow him odds, and meet him, were I tied to run afoot even to the frozen ridges of the Alps, or any other ground inhabitable, where ever Englishman durst set his foot. Mean time let this defend my loyalty, by all my hopes, most falsely doth he lie. Pale trembling coward, there I throw my gage, which fear, not reverence, makes thee to except. If guilty dread have left thee so much strength As to take up mine honour's pawn, then stoop:

  • chomsky is boring

  • Always the American Republicans spitting out the "global warming is a scam thing".

David Suzuki once challenged anyone in the world to show him one credible scientist (who was not funded by a right wing religious organization), who disagreed with the evidence on global warming.

    Nobody has found one yet.........

  • This man is an INTERnational treasure

  • A short term string of lowering temperatures is not the issue with climate change. The issue is the trend line over a longer period of time. Data fluctuate; that's a given. The "story" with climate change is the long term trend; not some short term abberation. Climate is defined by the long term trend. Characterizing climate is done by statistically averaging weather; the cumulative pattern of weather over decades & centuries.

Calculating a regression line is a basic statistical operation.

  • I wish I could ask him about the implications for the third world or developing country's, Who are basically being asked to sell, their very small energy resourses and progress down the river in exchange for our 'clean energy'

hhmm sounds like usual debt based western policies with a new green makeover to me..

Make no mistake If the 'majority' of scientists and appeasing polititians have their way.. Millions of people will die in poorer countrys... as a result of this hoax..

    makesmesick

  • Even if global warming isn't being accelerated by the industrial world, the entire world has a vested interest in moving away from fossil fuels. They are finite and unsustainable, and create an unstable international environment between producing countries and consuming countries.

  • ONe thing is certain.. end or NOT:. were all in this together....

THE WORLD WILL have the same faith.

  • it was a big fraud Noam, they made it up good to see that you were suckered like a lot of us.

  • A handful of UK scientists said they tried to cover up a few facts.....probably in order to prevent people from jumping on to the one piece of contradictory evidence they had been waiting for and lapping it up (ignoring the overwhelming mountain of evidence in the opposite camp).

The scientific community still understands that we are causing and exacerbating global warming.

  • That is untrue. The extent of research for global warming was done on a few tree's in Siberia. We are on a cooling planet and we are seeing natural cycles take place. Human intervention is hardly accelerating it, less than 5%.

  • mrcarlos: Would you say, that 100ppm alcohol in your blood wouldn not change your perception and ability to drive a car? If you think that small amount of substances or contributions are neglectable, than take a gun and pull the trigger. You will understand, that 0,00001% of energy of the bullet (moving your finger) will release 100% of energy. You do not understand how the climate works and what it needs to change a bit. A bit is enough for mass extiction.

  • What I meant by that, was that the change is hardly affected by man-intervention. I've spoken to real doctors and real scientists about this. Not sure if you're still on a Gore High.

  • you have no clue, global warming is a scam. the relation between CO2 and warming is causal, but there is a lot of evidence that it is a reversed causal relation, which is a big difference...

  • lancedboyle: So you is a meteorologist and geologist with peer-reviewed publications and finding? Or is you stating this just because its a fashion (like UFOs, Illuminati, etc.)? The way you presented your statement makes me believe that you lack competence to make such a statement. But you may provide facts (that means data) to backup what youre saying.

  • I agree with Noam on the massive gap between public policy and public opinion and the need to make the system more democratic and have in fact, in my profile description a summary of how to have real democracy.

  • Another outstanding, wise, overview of Professor Noam Chomsky. Salute him, and thanks.

    Lisa from Munich

  • a true intellectual, one that is not concerned with advancing his career and personal gain

  • scientists make opinions based on evidence, they dont just make it up! trust them theyre doctors! lol

  • Whether global warming exists or not don't you think it'd be a good idea to error on the side of caution? If we move away from oil dependecy we will be saving lives, creating new jobs and quite possibly fixing our planet. It seems to me that the pros far out weigh the cons.

  • are disagreeing with noam chomsky? are you out of your fucking mind? especially on such a uncontroversial issue like global warming?

  • Go to Google -- type in climate science, weather, meteorology (whatever you want.) Take the top 20 articles that show up. Of those, find ONE that denies global warming exists. Then we'll talk.

But here is the real question. Might it be a good idea to move the world economy AWAY FROM OIL, and TOWARDS CONSERVATION AND RENEWABLE FUELS? Hhhmmmm?

  • what motive would he have to advance the case for global warming if he knew it to be false?

  • he always looks like a man with a totally clear concience. which it probably is, you dont see that in politicians or indeed many other intellectuals

  • During the week after 9/11 when the planes were grounded the variation in temperature was statistically different than the days before and after. You telling me fossil fuel use is not having an impact on the planet? That was just planes grounded - think about the total influence of all hydrocarbon use. Climate change is evident everywhere - just need to open your eyes

  • During the week after 9/11 when the planes were grounded the variation in temperature was statistically different than the days before and after.

    Your full of shit.

  • Sure I am - and science is just another type of magic. It is a fact.

  • No consensus because % of scientists disagree with the global warming theory? Bullshit

  • :) so obvious to the most casual of observers

    good job!

  • OK, he does later on, but not what I mean. :D

  • He avoids it because of his feeling that accusations of conspiracy theorizing have the (intentional) function of discouraging rational institutional analysis.

Take his famous media analysis. It uses the most elementary of logic to draw an obvious conclusion, but thanks to the propagandists anyone who talks about corporate influence on the media can instantly be disregarded as a conspiracy theorist.

  • fantastic playlist, thanks for sharing.

  • here we see chomsky again. pushing for a better world, if anything he makes us question the modern world and its faukts and for anyone who is interested he creates a base level of understand that is consistent with everyone

  • Я имел(признавал) бы Вас сука, отвязывался бы.

  • Chomsky talks about the fuel system being a result of social engineering. He is completely right but what would he call the global warmig hysteria if not social engineering?

  • what hysteria? You mean like Exxon funding pseudoscience to make it appear as though there's a debate in the scientific community about whether man is contributing to global warming? That hysteria was certainly engineered.

  • Exxonmobil is part of the Rockefeller empire.

The Rockefellers have donated 100s of millions of dollars over the years to promoting AGW around the world.

Last December after the Bali conference the Rockefellers donated through one of their foundations 70 million dollars to promote AGW awareness in developing countries.

Do you beleive that the public concern over AGW is a grassroots movement that has develpoed organically?

  • No, it's just what climate science has provided overwhelming evidence for. The idea that thousands of scientists have conspired to take down the oil industry would be like saying scientists have conspired to take down the tobacco industry by showing that smoking causes lung cancer. As many scientists believe in AGW as in a link with smoking and lung cancer and HIV and AIDs. Exxon doesn't even deny that it hired the same PR people to discredit science as tobacco companies did years ago.

  • I read yesterday that even Exxon does not fund those crazy get togethers of people and "scientists" who don't believe global warming is manmade and a threat- anymore. Nevertheless, your comment is correct, in my view, myroncope.

  • I agree, also I apologize about the last comment I made.

I only hate the goverment of the U.S, and its policies...The American people are merely its victims, there are countless Americans I respect...Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, Michael Moore, Bill Maher.

  • If PuppBush and PNACheney invade Iran, the American People will be forced to make very difficult decisions. The Extreme Right Wingednuts and the Neocon's & PNAC are after the Middle East's Oil. They are willing to destroy Our Way of Government to install their Own. Now that they have been able to create the Worlds largest PRIVATE ARMY, BLACKWATER. This would never have happened while the Soviet Union was a World Power.

  • Blackwater is 100% publicly financed, but the public (Citizens, Congress, even department of defense) don't have oversight over it or jurisdiction. Only President can oversee the company which of course he does not. Do you know of any cases where a case in court against Blackwater has been won?

  • Because Iran actually represents a credible threat, I don't believe that the americans will attack Iran.

America only attacks those countries which CANNOT defend itself.

  • but will USA undermine Iran's government from within, finance an overthrow?

  • I think no doubt that's going on already. Not just in Iran, but many other places. Bolivia just went through a recall referendum called for by the separatists, people who benefits from opening up Bolivian economy to US corps.

All the threats from the US against Iran just makes that society more repressive.... but the US gov. don't care about that, they just want to pursuit their geopolitical goals in the region.

  • Yes, US corps are taking over every 3rd world country it seems, but Seymour Hersh (New Yorker Magazine) has documented (New York Times, NPR) overthrow attempts in Iran from the Bush administration.

Chomskyan, what are the US geopolitical goals? Open markets, control oil/gas, natural resources, cheap labor..it seems it's mostly about oil and markets to me..

  • I think you are right about oil. But it is also for state reasons, remember the history: After WWII Iran fell into the US sphere of control, they over throws the democratic government and installed the Shah. In '79 the Iranian revolution overthrows the US puppet, and the US has tried to punish them for that ever since.

  • Noam Chomsky, one of the only Americans I respect.

  • I am American too.... haha

  • There's nothing wrong with most americans. It is wrong to think that some people are evil or something solely based on nationality. However, I think that we all can agree that the american government and political system, and the capitalism american symbolizes for many of us, is illegitamate.

I am swedish by the way, so I am not just defending the american people for my own sake.

  • I agree. It's actually pretty impressive to see most american people are pretty decent, given the vast effort at indoctrination and control. The dissidence is just below the surface and unorganized.

The privileged class though, they are pretty condemnable. I include myself in that too, being relatively educated and privileged.... most of my peers are shamefully supportive of the power systems, sometimes against their own interests....

  • I love Chomsky.

    Thank you for posting this!

  • THANKS FOR POSTING.

  • Iran has about 132 billion barrels of oil.

It is clearly the intention of PNAC to take control of the worlds remaining oil resources. The attempts we have seen in recent years to demonise Iran appears to be an attempt to develop a pretext to war. Aggressive 'diplomacy' and negative media content regarding Iran has increaed dramatically over the past year.

They may seek to carry out an air war, followed by isolation prior to an attack in the future, due to being tied down in Iraq.

  • MIKE GRAVEL FOR PRESIDENT!

  • Always appreciated Chomskyan

  • Thank you for posting this

  • Great Post! Thanks for sharing! Greeting from Germany! :-)

  • Thanks . . . Chomskyan . . . !

  • “in comparison to the conditions imposed by US tyranny and violence, East Europe under Russian rule was practically a paradise.” -Chomsky, Communist Sympathizer

  • @SeeProfileForDetails What's the context of that quote, please?

  • @stoprainingonme Chomsky is comparing testimonies of people from 3rd world, occupied by USA and USSR during the Cold War, and pointing the hypocrisy from those on the soviet bloc: "It's also unnecessary to point out to the half a dozen or so sane people who remain that in comparison to the conditions imposed by US tyranny and violence, East Europe under Russian rule was practically a paradise."

    chomsky,info-letters-19900301,htm (change the commas)

  • @TurpentineRec Cheers

  • @SeeProfileForDetails I hope you're being ironic, if he didn't condemn the crimes of Soviet Imperialism why would he compare it to crimes of US imperialism, to give force to his assertion that US imperialism has been more successful and more atrocious. Or do you believe that US actions in the world are in defense of freedom, as opposed to the fact that every other empire in history has done atrocious crimes in proportion to it's unchecked military capacity. The US is the new Britain....

  • @autoarbitaster so if people fly plane into your building and these people believe in an anti feminist dogma religion (72 sluts in heaven) we should just let them continue to shit on our buildings and not chase the terrorists at all? I disagree with the way america has gone after non-terrorists, but I'm fully in favor of them chasing real terrorists. Unfortunately, the Islam religion is very bad itself, disregarding terrorism (their treatment of Women and 72 slut theory is disgusting).

  • @SeeProfileForDetails Wow that was a quick reply, impressive. Yes al' Qaeda are terrible criminals, but the, often reluctant, support they have is motivated by legitimate grievances. Let's assume for the sake of argument that US actions in the world are concerned with reducing the threat of terrorism, all the world's intelligence agencies, and more importantly US intelligence agencies predicted the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq would increase the threat of terrorism. As has proven the case

  • @autoarbitaster Not to mention the fact that within the doctrinal system 'terrorism' is restricted to the subset of crimes that are done by the relatively weak. According to the Department of Defense, terrorism is "calculated use of unlawful violence or threat of unlawful violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological." The deposing of democratically elected governments is a

  • reply continues: routine practice of US power, for example in Nicaragua, for which the US was condemned by the world court. And the most recent invasion of Iraq arbitrated by the US, because there is no one to enforce international law, no one to check the overwhelming military might of the US. US military spending is almost equal to the rest of the world combined (and remember the huge funds for operations in Iraq and Afghanistan are excluded from this for some reason), and seven times the

  • next biggest spender: China. And the US has about 4.45 percent of the world's population.

  • @autoarbitaster USA is the 1% of the world. The 99% want it back.

  • @autoarbitaster Please stop focusing on terrorism alone and focus on Muslims treating women badly. What the hell does the USA have to do with them believing women should wear tarps covering their faces? What does USA have to do with Muslims believing they will get to bang 72 sluts in heaven? Stop blaming USA. If chinese terrorists had flown into the building you'd be blaming USA for buying too much plastic from China at low prices. Stop Joining Sides with the terrorists and THINK for 1 sec.

  • @SeeProfileForDetails judao-christian dogma is just as despicable when it comes to morality especially women. Most women in India are even more oppressed than under the Taliban/etc. Any place women don't have access to education and the same rights as men. Even in small pockets of advanced industrial societies women are oppressed. Billigerent dogmatic idiocy is a human universal, that is gonna take a worlwide social revolution to overcome.

  • @autoarbitaster The people who flew the planes into the buildings were educated, you need to read more Sam Harris. The lack of education is not always the problem, otherwise the people that flew the planes into the building would have been uneducated now wouldn't they? The education system is shit anyway, because it's acceptable if you think you will get 72 sluts in heaven, while still being a math professor.

  • @SeeProfileForDetails Need to read Sam Harris? Try Scott Atran.

  • @fuckooo Scott Atran is a giggly little arrogant school girl who thinks everyone at this conference knows nothing what they are talking about: /watch?v=IahLaDYjXWQ

He's an idiot and not to be trusted.

  • @SeeProfileForDetails Yes, I'm aware of that. Although his attitude was a bit 'salty' his assessment of the matter at hand was erudite and certainly a lot more informed than Harris.

  • @SeeProfileForDetails "you need to read more Sam Harris." Not you. You need to read something else 'cos your post is like a set of Harris sentences almost literally. Harris is terrible, his logic is misleading because his point is emotional. Like, "Education + Islam = crash planes into buildings."

  • Thanks, more coming from this press conference.

  • Chomsky is God.

  • Well to the extent that God is truth, he's at least a messenger of God or something. :)

  • Usually Chomsky fans aren't deists!

  • I approve of the enthusiasm, but I don't think he even likes to be called "Professor," let alone "God."

He's not that big on executive authority ...

  • Not big on any such title, doesn't refer to himself, or ask to be referred to as Professor, Dr, or any other title that confurs elevated status.

He's not a fan of "leaders" and doesn't like being considered a leader of a movement. One of his main criticisms of the Documentary "Manufacturing Consent" was that it seemed to make him out as a "leader."

  • @radsent Even if you put aside his other scientific and philosophical disciplines and just look at his sociological/political work, He clearly is in a class of his own with respect to how well read he is, how readily retrievable all that he knows is from his memory, and how much effort he invests in what he believes to be right. He doesn't deny that there are leaders, but he always down plays the importance of the visible leader rather than all the people behind the scenes..

  • @autoarbitaster You need to read more Sam Harris and throw your Chomsky books in the garbage.

  • I approve of the enthusiasm, but I don't think he even likes to be called "Professor," let alone "God."

He's not that big on executive authority ...

  • great vid., thx for posting
