The only way to combat pop and pop artists is to check out channels like mine and help give us, less fortunate(more like less financially funded) musicians a fighting chance, everyone claiming that they know talent or whatever, how much do you really know? The people that get publicity are those who can afford it now a days, any REAL musician will tell you, having to pay for, recording, living, touring, etc. Is ridiculous, people give way too much credit where it's not deserved.

My gut feeling, though, is that she probably take that note-for-note to start her solo off but then she goes off to something completely different right after that. It's not like she took the entire solo, pasted it into her song and claimed it to be hers. If that were the case, Slash would be able to collect from it.

Unless one strictly tries to claims it as their orginal composition, no one especially another guitarist can say "oh you got that from blah blah." everyone sounds and plays different so get off her vag. @Gerrkin1592 He's got a point. She should probably at least mention that the very first lick in her solo is the beginning of the solo in "sweet child o' mine." It's note for note. If it's her ode to Slash that's cool but not even mentioning that she borrowed from him isn't the right thing to do. It's one of the most recognized beginnings to a guitar solo in the last 25 years. You can't just act like you wrote it.

If she wasn't drop tuned she'd be staring on the G and that would make it Greenday's When I come around. I'd rather play a variety of stringed instruments instead of just stick to electric. Like Steve Howe! :) He's one of my all time favorites and I already have three years of experience in electric and acoustic guitar, along with a small knowledge of the violin and classical guitar. The chord progression she uses at 3:00 is like the most over used chord progression in history. Check out "The Axis Of Awesome - 4 Chords" video. It's pretty funny how many songs use that progression.
