  • this is amazing how good this came out, i love recording off all kinds this one came out great and the band did an awesome job, do you have any other live recording you made with this device? great job, great ear on your part

  • You know that's a really good question , I don't know the answer as to who was the absolute inspiration for "Rock & Roll Woman" !! But it's such a great tune that so many female rockers relate to it !! , Thanks for enjoying the cover...

  • @WHATCANITELLYA The inspiration for the song was rock and roll itself. Rock is the woman. Listen to the words

  • @MrMrwilson11 That certainly does make sense !! Very cool analogy ......

  • Yeah, they were tape recorded the whole night they played. I'll put something else up when I get a chance , thanks a lot for the feedback. I'm glad you like this version.

  • Best cover I've ever heard (of a Stills song) Justa Myth is great! Any more from them?

  • Stills has never stated for a fact that "Rock & Roll Woman" was written for Judy Collins, But he did say factually that "Suite Judy Blue Eyes" was !! And to the point, Stevie Nicks said she felt the song "Rock & Roll Woman" was about her in describing her own life , she never said It was written for her !!..

  • @WHATCANITELLYA - But he did say it was about Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane. Stills wrote several songs about Judy but this isn't one of them.

    Groovy cover though.

  • Bull shit detector goes off,,,,,,,,,,((((((((((( BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

song was written & recorded in 1966/1967. It was about Stephen Stills then

    girlfriend Judy Collins.

  • @MrDavearama It's actually about Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane. The song was co-written with David Crosby, although he is uncredited.

  • Thanks for the compliment , it is very much appreciated ..

  • This is a mad good take on an awesome song. Great harmonies and raw energy! Thanks for this historical cassette recording and for somebody who had the forethought! I wish I had a hot-tub time machine to take me back to some little concerts of that era. Rockin!

  • That's very cool , I suppose that Stevie was speaking strictly from her own point of view . Thanks for that information .

  • wow, this is a very good version!

  • Stevie was interviewed sometime ago and talked about her admiration for Buffalo Springfield , Steven Stills & Neil Young , and she always felt the song " Rock & Roll Woman was truly about her !!

  • Nice work! I never knew that little factoid!
