Minimum wage here in Texas is 5.15 an hour. If they could pay us less they would. People who dont want regulation on minimum wage are proponents of class warfare, and and sub-human living conditions.
There's lots of good reasons to not have a minimum wage. Raising minimum wage means higher costs for everyone and encourages people to not invest in human resources because they are making money doing the bare minimum for society. Work harder and you'll make more money.
Economics major ? I think not. Goodwill Industries had to lay off workers since the recent raise. Don't vote for someone who wants to give you things.There's always strings attached.
Why not increase the minimum wage to $20.00 an hour?
Becuase the minimum wage is just an arbitrary number, markets dictact what people earn. Minimum wage is just government induced inflation if the governemt sets a wage that is higher then what the market dictacts. For ever unit the minimum wage increases so to does the cost of production of itmes and services we buy. That increase is past on to the consumer. your buying power as a consumer stays the same.

Minimum wage does not help many people--it eliminates all jobs worth less than the minimum wage.
