  • Ohhhh, this IS Marshfield. Or was. Funny how it can change in 25 years....

  • although i wasnt born yet...oh how marshfield has changed...but some is still the same

  • I grew up there and spent my first 35 years there. Then I moved to SoCal about the time that you shot this video. Thanks for the memories.

  • I'm a 1990's kid, and that is /not/ Marshfield! xP

  • We moved away in January 1986; but I remember making this drive back into town many times after camping, visiting family in Canada, etc. I haven't been back there since the late 80s so I have no idea how much it's changed. Thanks for posting!

  • i was born there about seven months after this video was shot

  • I didn't even live in Marshfield in 87. Moved there with my parents in 88 or 89. I actually remember most of this too, I'm only 24 now....

Man oh man do things change....

  • kinda creepy goin out and followin this same path today..

  • WOW! I was 3 when this was taken!

    AWESOME footage!

  • Thanks much for the video!!! I was sooo happy that you had a pict of chips burger I used to eat there back in the seventies!!! Do you have any Picts/ movies of central ave at night ? I always loved the yellow clearance lights on the islands in the street!

  • Sorry, all I had were the 3 videos of Marshfield that I uploaded. The camera I had back then didn't handle low light very well at all. That's why in the Cruising Marshfield, part 2, I stopped the video at Second St. because the buildings were on the shaded side of Central Ave. I'm hoping someone with older or better quality video uploads their version of Marshfield soon. Thanks for your comment, Dave.

  • in 1987 I was 18 years old and cruising the mean streets of Marshfield every weekend. This really brings a lot of memories. Thanks for posting.

  • @123djhend

do you happen to know the Post family?

  • Amazing... I've been searching for ages to find any footage of an older Marshfield, thanks!! Got any more? :)

  • I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sorry, but this is all I have. I made the video for posterity and then thought others might get a kick out of seeing the town 20 some years ago. I wish I had a better camera back then but they were pretty expensive. The original copy is slightly clearer. Thanks for your comment. Dave

  • I just uploaded another vintage Marshfield video which was part of a family Christmas video in 1984. It is titled"(Before Veterans Parkway) Peach Ave. in Marshfield, Wisconsin on Dec. 25, 1984." It shows the buildings on Peach Ave. before the Veterans Parkway overpass was built.

  • and i was 16 where does the time go!!! lol

  • This is frightening to know I was alive and 0 years old when this was recorded
