I like your video, and I REALLY like the music, but I don't think they go together very well . . .
However--the music seems to be in FAR superior quality here, compared to some of the music videos on this site. So if you don't mind, I'm going to "like" this video! =)
the idea is with doors on the sides (with an invisible seam), and the top structure is a retractable glass roof. I was planning to design the inside and animate the opening of the bike, but didn't find the time to do it...
your modeling is strong, your texturing started weak but got somewhat better by the end, try losing some specularity on surfaces for a more subtle cgi look. your lighting is decent, but I must be honest your rigging and animation were missing a lot of finish work. but over all very impressive.
3ds max is more popular in some fields of 3D animation.I find Maya more intuitive, but my opinion on this biased, since I learned Maya first and spent a LOT more time on it then 3Ds Max.Maya's interface is better, because it's been rebuilt entirely a few versions ago, rather than 3Ds max's has been added on over the years and seems to be confusing and messy.3Ds Max has specific tools designed for the Video Game industry, that only come as plugins in Maya. This may have changed since I used ver. 8..??
thnx 4 that long reply and by the moment did you herd about a new software called blend.Someone told me that Sony had changed all its work for it cuz it's more powerfull as it is an open source software.
No, unfortunately. 2 years ago I tried to find a job in my area -Quebec city- without success. I got pretty close, though. I would have had better chances in Montreal, but my life is here...
The Harley and the Audi were pretty nice, but everything else needed a lil work Imo.
You had a couple nice glow effects in ur enviroments w/ the streelamps, but consider using a HDRI aposed to a background image..will really pull out some of the windows. Also don't forget about Oclusion passes, Unles I'm mistaken I didn't see it, If you're going to turn this in to anyone cut down the time by half..trust me
well wings is a free but very good modeling software, i use crazy bump (freeware) to make bump maps, & i use my version of bryce 5 i got for "free" to render, i also have True space but that just sucks IMO
very nice work. But if you're going to use this as a demo reel for potential clients you should realize the music and pacing are pretty lame. All they care about is what the final products looks like anyway.

no, all the 3D was made in Maya 6.5, the textures in Photoshop and the compositing/editing in After Effects

I think it should go faster. It takes too longgggggggggggg to change from one to another!
