  • husband: oh dear there been a big train crash

wife: ill put the kettle on!

  • I work on the railway, and I was there for three weeks of nights, putting temporary roads and crane pads in, to recover the train, hope i never have to go to another.

  • This was the first fatal accident on board a mainline train in Britain for over two years and the first for almost five for which the rail industry were directly to blame - and also the last. Although one life lost is one too many, that's still a pretty impressive record!

  • It was outside my freinds nans house coz she lives right next 2the line

  • oh mygod how awful

  • I remember this crash.

Grayrigg is closest as its on the A685 road that crosses the bridge of where this crash site was. Lambrigg is somewhere in the fields of the same area.

  • ok i'm from Kendal too so no disrespect to the accents but I was absolutely pissing myself at "cups of tea were pooed" - hilarious!!!!

  • cups of tea were brewed.
