After three years I saw MGS 4 in the store and I couldn't keep my eyes off of it and I decided to buy it. After that I spent an entire day playing the game. After I had finished I was teary eyed, and I stood up and applauded. It was 2 AM when I called my friend to thank him for forcing me to buy this game. This is the first game to leave me speechless. I'm whole now

Now that I think about, this song (although perfectly applicable to Solid Snake) perfectly suits both Big Boss and The Boss. After all, it was Big Boss who finally understood the meaninglessness of fighting forever. At one point he realized it was a matter of accepting the way the world is and respecting the will of others.

Never before has a game, a movie or a song made me feel this way.
I've been an MGS fanatic since I was about 8. That's when I first started, with the good ol' MGS1 on the PS1.
Now, here I am. 18 years old. And still tearing up at the end of these games.

It sounds crazy, but there are things in this world that can make people better, they make them who they are meant to be. To me, MGS did that. From it, got a sense of honor, and honesty. This series has changed me as a person. And if this masterpiece of art can change lives, like mine, then I think Kojima-san and Harry Gregson-Williams (The composer of the music) have done their job... : )

I'm probably gonna get weird reactions to this comment but I never understood this new fandom with Big Boss, maybe I just can't let go, as soon as someone starts talkin about Big Boss to me the FIRST thing I think about is getting to the 100th floor basement of Outer Heaven and discovering that the guy had been leading me into a trap through the entire game.
Regardless, I was quite happy with the ending of MGS4, great ending to a great sarga.
i played this game over and over just to watch all the scenes and at the end when big boss dies and the camera takes a wide shot of snake and big boss and then a black scene comes on with the intro to this song made me tear. I feel like i just played through an amazing experience.
This series is simply amazing. The story. Scenes. Music. Characters. Voice acting. Gameplay. Please do not let this saga is forgotten, we pass from generation to generation to make the world knows Snake's legacy

to everyone that hasent played this game id suggest u do lol but do it from the very begining start from MGS1-MGS4 and plz if u choose to play all of em do me one favor do watch the cutscenes they may be long but they tell an amazing story and it wouldent be fun not 2 trust me MGS for life :P

It sounds crazy, but there are things in this world that can make people better, they make them who they are meant to be. To me, MGS did that. From it, got a sense of honor, and honesty. This series has changed me as a person. And if this masterpiece of art can change lives, like mine, then I think Kojima-san and Harry Gregson-Williams (The composer of the music) have done their job... : )

Here's to you was composed by Ennio Morricone though Williams took that music and made his version of it (with permission of Morricone) and used then that new version (which is only similar to the original in terms of lyrics and melody) in MGS4. I'm probably gonna get weird reactions to this comment but I never understood this new fandom with Big Boss, maybe I just can't let go, as soon as someone starts talkin about Big Boss to me the FIRST thing I think about is getting to the 100th floor basement of Outer Heaven and discovering that the guy had been leading me into a trap through the entire game.
Regardless, I was quite happy with the ending of MGS4, great ending to a great sarga.

i played this game over and over just to watch all the scenes and at the end when big boss dies and the camera takes a wide shot of snake and big boss and then a black scene comes on with the intro to this song made me tear. I feel like i just played through an amazing experience.
