  • You say that index funds are cheaper than mutual funds because there are no heavy management costs, so why is it then better to own index funds through Vanguard, Fidelity or Charles Schwab? Would it not be acceptable to own index funds through ING Direct or another banking institution? Are their fees inherently higher for some administrative reason? I really enjoy your videos, by the way. And I have, in the past, had no real interest in personal finance. Thanks for that.

  • @pottsdb i think it all comes down to the expense ratios of these index funds, and i beleive vanguard has the lowest expense ratios.
