there's no bass in 7 nation army so congratulations for teaching people something that doesnt exist. guitar + whammy pedal octave down setting = bass sound on 7 nation army. there's no bassist in the white stripes and jack white has said it himself a ton of times.

@andyaction2679 In my opinion (maybe we don't agree, idk) electric guitar is like the showoffy guitar in the band, it can play a billion strings at once in difficult series' and sound awesome. However, a band is arguably better with a bass guitar (or more than one xD) holding it up and supporting or even leading. Bass is less showoffy and if the electric was rock and roll, bass would be jazz, you need a love of it to love playing it, whereas anyone can impress themselves with a guitar riff.

Personally, In the pre-chorus I play the 3rd fret 8 times on the E string, but i also play the 5th fret 8 times on the same string
