In most cases, faces tell the tale of a fight and sometimes they don't. A guy who is the obvious aggressor may have a badly beaten face because his skin cannot take punishment well. However, in Manny's case, he was punished badly and his face showed nothing. The fans knew who won the fight, even the ones sitting waaay in the back.
The ringside judges weren't going to give Marquez a close fight, he had to dominate Manny to win. The Punchstat numbers were fabricated.

it was a fast phased fight and i thought it was a Draw. BUT AFTER WATCHING THE SLOW MOTION VIDEOS OF THE FIGHT ROUND BY ROUND I REALIZED THE TWO JUDGES WERE RIGHT, PACQUIAO WON CLEARLY. Most of the shots by JMM only hit the gloves of MP.

I scored this fight 7-5 in Rounds for Pacquaio, they are both Exceptional warriors and I understand how one could score a Marquez victory and it is true that he is the guy who can give Pacquaio a difficult night compared to others. I see it as a shame anybody should lose this fight and i think people dwell too much on the scoring contraversy. The fact is it was right down the middle, difficult to judge and both will get the props they deserve in the sense that history will be kind to them both

There is absolutely nothing dynamic or destructive about Pac's power. Marquez proved that in the third fight, Marquez--38 years old seemingly used the same style; the same style he fought Floyd with mind you, and thorughly outboxed Pac. The fifth proved how bad Pac is at defending and capitalizing.

In most cases, faces tell the tale of a fight and sometimes they don't. A guy who is the obvious aggressor may have a badly beaten face because his skin cannot take punishment well. I scored this fight 7-5 in Rounds for Pacquaio, they are both Exceptional warriors and I understand how one could score a Marquez victory and it is true that he is the guy who can give Pacquaio a difficult night compared to others. There is absolutely nothing dynamic or destructive about Pac's power. Marquez proved that in the third fight, Marquez--38 years old seemingly used the same style; the same style he fought Floyd with mind you, and thorughly outboxed Pac. The fifth proved how bad Pac is at defending and capitalizing.

@nphila1 as for styles, counter-punchers are perfect against slow heavy hitting punches. however, they often have a hard time against opponents throwing flurries of consecutive and angled punches (which pacquiao is exceptionally well known for). so if mayweather ends up turtling, pacquiao can win rounds by throwing the most punches. if mayweather does hit pacman, i doubt it will be a KO, seeing as floyd has a weak punch relative to other boxers.
PS. floyd is weak against southpaw.
