  • i see you got all the golf shit to move on your course but the the fucking golfers still no god at the game lol and all the crap u get 4 doing your job

  • Looks to me like your driving a bit fast.

  • Whoo hoo, look at those clippings fly!!!

  • i wish the course i worked at looked anywhere near this nice

  • I love to mow !!!!

  • It looks weird to me without the roll bar.....we demo'd a deere about a year ago and it was the biggest piece of shit ive ever sat on. Toro is the only way to go, fuck i'd rather drive a jake that the jd

  • Just remember white is right,

  • The only difference between what we got and a coastal hurricane is that the coastal hurricanes last a lot...... longer than 20 minutes. There were 63000 people without power Friday in the area and today there are only 2500 out of power.

  • Now I know the difference between them, and well , the good thing is, that you keep working on the course, and I 've seen that it was powerful !! yeah it kicked hard.

  • It's the first time in this area for an inland hurricane. The only difference between that and a tornado is that it's just a straight line wind with no rotation. the fairways are overgrown. Soup said we'll have to use a rotary mower on them first before we use the JD reel mowers. We have been mowing greens, collars, and tees. We had two greens with moderate tree damage. Clean-up is estimated at 400k

  • Hey man our golf course was destroyed Friday by what they are calling an inland hurricane. We had winds that reached 106mph for 20 minutes. We have about 300 trees down. We are located about 100 miles southeast of St. Louis in Carterville, Il. The course is Crab Orchard Golf Course. Our local T.V. station (WSIL) has pictures of the damage in our area. Just got power back today. The course is closed until further notice. We've had arborists in from all over the Southeast. Huge bummer

  • Hey that surprised all of you, damn !!

And you just mow all of them a week ago,

So is that often ? I mean about hurricanes in that area, I don't think so, well you'll need to wait until they repaired it

  • I know what you are talking about, and that sucks !!

Damn ... specially when have mowed lot of fairways, it's like a nightmare ha ha.

I've been in the same , and when you start mowing, well you drop srtaight lines, and then, ohh, it don't matter if they look like bannanas, you just wanna finish, thanks for the comment !!

    Mario.

  • I just spent 12 hours on the same JD mower mowing 19 fairways and 3 nurseries. My butts dragging. Got off about 60 times to move cart signs and bunker rakes. Our other JD is in for repairs. Luckily it has headlights.

  • dont have enough of these vids keep them comming

  • Yes, and when the sun, is in certain position, and, when you are just learning to mow, it cheats you, and you choose the dark lines, you think they are the dark ones, but nop, they are the clear, I mean the white ones, ha ha !!

  • don't ya hate when the sun sits just right and you cant see your last pass, man that burns me up.

  • Yeah that is true , in other golf course where iI worked for , in Las Vegas, they used to tell us go slow , I do not remember I guess 5 (500 rpm) , but nobody did it so the set a screw locked with a nut higher, as a governor, and that way the washboard is less or nothing.

  • You are welcome, I am here in San Antonio ,Tx. and we also have bermuda grass, but now we are using 2 Toro 5610 mowers, but somebody wrote me that they were using them but they were " bumping" so the switched to JD's.

    Best ragards !!

  • Most reel mowers will "bump" if the governor is set to high. The speed of the reels can't keep up with speed of the machine causing a "washboard" effect. One of our JD's is faster and it does this a lot more especially going downhill.

  • How often do you mow fairways? Also does mechanic backlap each time?

  • Well we use to mow Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and I guess they use to backlap once a week, since the winter, but now , in the middle of March the grass started grow much more, so the do it as often as twice a week.

  • Thanks. We are located in zone3 in extreme southern Illinois. We have mainly Bermuda fairways. We use 2 JD's like yours. During growing season April-October we mow M-W-F. Our mechanic backlaps once a week.

  • and I have to tell you they backlap every other day, I mean Mon, Wed & Fri.

  • love mowing with tat JD

  • It's a good mower, some others rather toro, or jacobsen, I'll go toro.

  • lineas derechas heee!!!!
