honda atc 185s first day of having it running

i have a 83 185s just like it but i dont have as big of ar rack on the back, i even have the same tires!

@destroybob14 Yeah the rack was after market, thats what they buddy of mine i bought it from told me, yeah they still make the same tires that were on it stock..

what did you do to keep yours running...??? because i have one but when it is on nuetral it turns off if i am not giving it gas..

@mikeee92 well you turn your idle screw up a little, its on the right side of the carb....dont turn it about about a quarter turn at a time, then wait about 30 seconds for it to see the adjustment till its right, also you need to keep in mind about your choke setting while doing this...your going to have to fool with it ....might be smart to turn it to the right as far as it will go....while your doing this count the number of turns,,,then bring it back to where you started and make adjustments

just got a honda 185 atc from my neighbor down the street for 50 bucks it runs and its funn as hell but the front tire leaks air a bit, killswitch dont work, and there is no grab bar, seat cushion or headlight. any idea on where i could get parts? also my idle is way to high how can i adjust that? thanks

make sure your chokes not on, that makes it idle high. other than that just adjust your idle needle

wat size socket do you need to change the oil

you should put a bit of oil in the cylinder and leave it for a night to loosen up the rings, also if your storing it for the winter put a bit of oil in it to to keep the cylinder in good shape and to protefct it form rusting

yeah i did actually the motor was locked up when i bought it. its had plenty of oil time.....yeah thats a good idea to put oil in the cyl for storage i also run staybil in everything i have that helps with the carb also

still, after even using it in the winter a bit of moisture can do some damage if u even leave it for only a week

yea the exaust sounds nice. does not look like an atc exaust past the header, must of been another from a diferint bike that was the same size

it's a Cobra Exhaust... you can get one on eBay... I have one, it's sound very nice at high RPM
