  • doing this in our symphony orchestra and the not liking the violin part that much but overall this is a great song (:

  • My name is Charles Bronson

  • During the 70's, WABC news, out of NYC, used the portion between 0:26 & 0:50 as the closing music for their evening news.

  • @Chivalry887

Of course, that one of the reasons I like him

  • I downloaded the lyrics now I'll do it on my violin and my sister will do it on flute we will be a great team ^_^

  • @Chivalry887 have you any idea of german history ? If not, please shut your mouth, because your comment is more than "historical incorrect".

  • Thumbs up if The Beatles brought you here.

  • I´m jew and I love Richard Wagner and if he hated us is just because our religion as the other religions on world doesn´t mean a shit.

  • @Carlos111111able It's all just fantasy literature anyway.

  • @jahigh1 yeah! Are you from USA??

  • @Carlos111111able it's like were you there? unless you were there you don't know for sure, if hitler wasn't such a big fan we wouldn't be having this discussion

  • wagner was probably one of the most obnoxious and over confident musicians to ever live, but this is a fantastic piece.

  • @MarleyFan1996 how do u think some people achieve greatness, prince michael jackson mdonna countless otheres probably not mother theresas

  • @elvispresley718 Greatness?

  • @THOMAZ1DNA im sorry that didn't come out right!

  • So chivalric, heroic, fantastic, and over all, so original and german! BRAVO!!

  • barry goldwater was a jew and a republican!

  • @elvispresley718 What does that have to do with anything?

  • @zaku32888 everyone says wagner was an anti semite and every one thinks republicans hate jews

  • I LOVE this piece..... it;s just so German - so Heroic!! GREAT performance of it, i must say. Bravo to the uploader!! Bravo to the conductor and the orchestra. Bravo to Waagner!!

  • Wunderschön!!!! ...das ist Musik!!!

  • great, thanks to uploader!! btw... i thought that original is a bit faster....!

  • @Chivalry887 Agreed. I am here to listen to the pretty music, not to listen to a bunch of racists Naziboos squabble.

  • ich kann sagen, ausgezeichnet

  • Stop with all the NAZI crap...all of you He was a very unpleasant man, no doubt...but there are a hell of a lot of unpleasant ppl...calling ppl clueless isn't exactly pleasant and shows a lack of tolerance. Those of us who have a brain don't stoop to insults. The music is beautiful..

  • @Chivalry887 He was an anti-semitist (although some of his closest friends were jews) and that's where all similarities with Hitler and Nazism stop. If antisemitism makes you a nazi, 80% of people in Middle ages were also nazis. I'd be very grateful if clueless people like you stopped with all the ZOMG WAGNER WAS A NAZI comments.

  • @Chivalry887 interesting since he chose a jew to be the first to conduct his last opera, parsifal.

  • @Chivalry887 thats insane!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @gosword . Thank you, very mature..

  • @Chivalry887 Wagner was born in 1813 and died in 1883 ... Hitler was born in 1889. The Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei was founded by a man named Drexler in 1919. I'm pretty sure Wagner had nothing to do with the political party seeing as how he was already dead for 36 years before it even was created. How he may or may not have felt about certain peoples and political issues of his day is a matter of musicological research and continued debate.

    Just food for thought.

  • An early section of this music was used as the "you won the game" tune in the old TRS-80 video game "Voyage of the Valkyrie".

  • just too much he does more in the first few measures than most people do in a career, and im a german!

  • we're gonna play this with Tubingen Kammerorchester and Thailand Philharmoniker :D:D::DD its gonna be so epicc!!!!!

  • love this one

  • we played this at camp.

all 800 kids or so crammed into this one room to finish the concert with this.

it's pretty epic with 5 orchestras together :)

  • @Sweeneycansing Dang, what kind of awesome camp was this?

  • @alphatotheomega7 BAND CAMP! :D

    Interprovincial Music Camp

    in Ontario

  • @Sweeneycansing Lucky. My band camp is just a bunch of talentless high schoolers squeaking out notes on a football field.

  • 0:20 | 1:15 woody woodpecker(pica-pau)

  • Hate his music but love his politics!

  • @dogtransport I think you've got that a bit backwards, there...

  • @dogtransport Eh, what are you doing here listening to him then?

  • @alphatotheomega7 It was a joke! I love his music and his politics!

  • Exciting and beautiful. This movement covers all emotions all in 1 act.

  • i got here from a KANSAS performance in 1980 they mixed this with Point Of know Return, it sounded amazing,

  • 14/88

  • @BGVicious94

    Fuck off.

  • @BGVicious94 14/88 from Spain comrade.

  • I am in love with this.

  • 3:40 - 8:12 I like it!

  • I love hearing bits of his other works thrown in. It really singles out his style.

  • i came here and i saw that their is no mentioning of Hitler at least on the first page and i had to do the owners of just mentioning him in this Wagner track lol Hitler. no comment

  • I like composers with a kind of feeling, like Wagner. He compose this art of music whith his feeling. I am a person whith feeling, so I like this kind of music. If he hates the Jews, thats for me not nessesary. I like only the music notes he composes. Thats all.

  • @wietsejan1980 Artists dispise each other, normal.

  • magnificent! this music makes me want to fly through the clouds,,,

  • @sefir6 and bombing the shit out of people:)

  • WUNDERBAR !!!!!

  • אני בן אדם טוב ..

  • @brunoblood are you now?

  • @Killerunclesam בהחלט

  • I didn't know John Wayne wrote this.

  • @MitchelWeaver You do have a good sense of humor.

  • @MitchelWeaver let's go bomb some villages!!!

  • To you "ladies" below arguing about nothing; Put in a tampon and shut it. Who gives a crap about anything but closing your eyes and just LISTENING.

  • Many people only know this as "here comes the bride"...pity...

  • @thatamazinggeek hitler has absolutely nothing to do with this sort of music...so drop the whole "hitler" idea...period. End of story.

  • Wagner is my favorite composer next to Saint-Saens. We played this piece in our youth orchestra, and it was an amazing experience! :) Love it.

  • Listening to this in Bronson, when he's just fighting off hoards of guards, Epic.

  • @thatamazinggeek this isn't nazi art, wagner was before the whole hitler thing. just because hitler liked him doesn't mean this was nazi art. though he was a massive jew hater...

  • This is so totaly Bronhilda Odin and all other Scandinvain mythology....

  • listen tto the violins . . .

i am dreading playing this for orchestra -_-

  • @Dustlandindie Yeah, I've played to the first violin part to this piece in an orchestra before, and there were only 4 first violinists including myself. It was rough =( Good luck

  • Shalom! I think Wagner wrote some of the most powerful yet sublime music in history. So will the interfering non-Jews shut up and let me, a Jew, enjoy the music of a great composer.

  • @WolseleyAC I didn't know that Wagner was a jew. No one cares about religion of composers. It is a romantic pagan motif beside that.

  • @MrMrmike5 I'm with ya bud!

  • IF THE NAZI'S LIKED WAGNER TOO THAN GOSH DARN FLAM IT, IM A NAZI TOO!!! Period.

  • @MrMrmike5 hahahaha. totally.

  • Hitlrt painted - van gogh is evil and so are monet and miguel angelo, etc.

  • More than any genre of music classical music has the most opinionated you tube comments from Nietzsche to Hitler evolution and religion stop typing and listen!

  • Please take the religion/evolution comments elsewhere. This is Wagner. Enjoy the beautiful music.

  • @U2becommenter Yes, these people are truly insane!

  • My favourite Wagner segment outside The Ring.

  • @thatamazinggeek

Evolution is junk science and, as junk science goes, a spectacularly dangerous and harmful variety of it.

  • @icebear1946 Then what's your idea about life? Religious beliefs seem to have less evidence than the "junk" evolution theory. In addition, evolution has nothing to do with nationalism, its origins are from the French evolution and the age of Napoleon. And as far as I know Hitler mostly rambled about Nietzsche's theories (übermensch).

  • @Wolfmester Sorry, French revolution.

  • @Wolfmester I'm not into pushing religion. I'll RECOMMEND Christianity if somebody WANTS a recommendation but, with the single exception of Islam which is basically a form of devil worship, ANY religion is better than evolution, indlucing Voodoo and Rastafari. Neither Voodoo nor Rastafari requires any sort of a trans-finite sequence of probabilistic miracles and outright zero-probability events as does evolution.

  • @icebear1946 Please, oh please, tell me you're trolling.

  • @thatamazinggeek

There are sections of Mein Kampf and Origin of Species which read so much alike that most people guess wrong as to who wrote which. Evolution was the philosophical corner stone of Nazism, Communism, and the various eugenics movements. There actually are flavors of junk science which are relatively harmless; evolution is not one of those.

  • @thatamazinggeek

That appears to be an urban legend. See Sir Arthur Keith's "Evolution and Ethics" for a good account of the Darwin/Hitler connection.

  • If there's a 19'th century figure to blame hitler's thought processes on, it's Chuck Darwin and not Richard Wagner.

  • I'm not a nazi, but I love listening to Wagner and reading about world war 2 and the nazis !

  • Thumbs up if this is the music from that a Woody Wodpecker cartoon!

  • A fine performance! Thank you TheWickedNorth for the posting,

  • I'm playing this atm. The horn part is fantastic.

  • Bravo!

  • fantástico!

    armando do prado

  • so beautiful a pleasure to keep listening

  • qué grande!

  • Are people bloody well busy with this nazi talk in here as well? Why are people constantly looking for nazis in every nook and cranny? There are bigger threats out there than people who have been dead for ages or extremely old living nazis (probably not alive anymore!). It's bloody annoying! People who see nazism everywhere have chips on their shoulders or feel somehow responsible for the past, now we must all feel responsible as well? Just listen to the music or fuck off!

  • @666Apparition I whole heartedly agree with you, but it's difficult to take someone whose name is equivalent to Satan Manifest.

    Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust saying.

  • @kingpojo1 i know, i know, it was a mistake didn't go away. If someone can show me how to change my profile name, denn mache ich es sofort! I wanted the name apparition but there were hundreds! So i lost my temper and typed in some sixes (I watched the old Omen film the day before!), not a satan-spawn, I'm actually quite neutral. Thanx, now that's off my chest!

  • @666Apparition That's fine, man, it's all good. :P Why don't you just make a new account?

  • Bah! Yes, Richard Wagner was an outspoken anti-semite. He died in 1883. That's twice as long ago as most of you shall live. There's nothing left of him. His music is still here and it's not anti-semitic so just enjoy it, allright?

  • Wagner was a brilliant composer and all these bigots who think he was a nazi will finish in the lowest level of Dantes inferno

  • awesome piece

  • This was used in the Beatles movie: Help

  • @AllanIsKing

Yes! I'm not the only one that noticed!

  • Wagner is the cure for depression!

  • Thank you for posting another wonderful video!!!

  • i showed this to my friend and he thought it was absolutely badass and intense at the beginning. he got no idea that this was the wedding song.

  • im JEWISH and obsessed with wagners music..

  • @Rotem0020 In what sense is wagner music religious?

  • @bimhimbim Well it's religious... Just think about it... An opera about Lohengrin (the son of Parsifal) and the Holy Grail... It's a little bit religious don't you think?

  • @bimhimbim because he was natzi.. his music eas played in ghettoes...

  • @Rotem0020 First, it's spelled "Nazi", not "natzi". Second, the Nazi party was founded in the early 1920's, while Wagner died in 1883, almost forty years before anyone was a Nazi. Granted, the Nazis liked Wagner's music. They also liked beer. That doesn't mean that Wagner or beer are Nazis.

    Dumkopf!

  • @gosword Fuck you, listen to the damn music you troll.

  • Exciting stuff!! All hail Richard Wagner--World's greatest composer!!

  • The brides have beautiful voices.

  • Estupendo e belíssimo!

  • I am not sure who the conductor is but would guess George Szell. Szell was the best for interpreting Wagner.

  • German ethnic pride!

  • @odinismforus not exactly

  • Comment removed

  • Wagner ist eine fantastische Komponist! Der Grösste!!

  • "Here comes the bride,

    At least a metre wide.

They had to chop the door off

    to get the bride inside!"

  • @MamboCat84 ....WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!

  • @MamboCat84 Over 9000 thumbs up to you

  • R. Wagner ist der großte Komponist aller Zeiten!!!!!!!

  • where can i download this version?

  • @Blanqueador Simply install the Mozilla Firefox browser and later the complement "Download helper".

Later, while reproducing the video in YouTube, click on the "mp4" icon on the top left corner above the screen of the video being reproduced. This will change you to see the video in mp4 format, instead of flv format.

Click on the icon of the three white, red and black balls turning on the toolbar and you will be download the video.

  • @jfquirosreyes

I just want the song, not the video, thank u anyway

  • @Blanqueador

As soon as you have the video, download a small program from Koyote free software called “Free video converter”.

With this small program, on the left bottom corner, select “Audio only” and it will extract the audio in mp3 format, by default 128 kbps.

I use it almost every day to extract the audio from the files that I download from YouTube. But it only works if you have downloaded the file in mp4 format because Koyote Free video converter doesn’t work with flv files.

  • @jfquirosreyes hey man i did it!!!! thank u

  • this song makes me feel happy. :D

  • An argument over racism in comments on a Wagner video, not related to Wagner's anti-semitism, but because someone is getting a "racist vibe". Ah, Youtube.

BTW this is by the same guy who did Ride of the Valkyries, so that's probably where the Norse association comes from.

  • @dccmpbll Richard Wagner was antisemitic, thats a fact ;)

  • @Gruenkreuz100 : Many persons are and I have learnt some hard lessons in thinking everyone os equal.

  • This was in Help!

  • classical music rules!!!

  • @Killerunclesam : And Music Predominates !

  • Hey dude dont get me wrong...this music remainds me of norse mythology whem i hear it cause it has some similar aspects....i am NOT racist or something...it just cause music god damn...i hope that no one will get the wrong impression here....

  • @Killerunclesam

Why would you think this could possibly be racist? If it reminds you of the Norse Pantheon, that's fine.

  • @Killerunclesam Your a freaking racist arent you... Im just gettin this racist vibe coming from you.

  • @Gargantupimp No I am not, but In your case I think I am ready to make some

    exceptions

  • @Gargantupimp No, I am not, but I think that in your case I am ready to make some exceptions.

  • this is like totaly nordic mythology

  • @Killerunclesam

this is like, like (akin to, that is) total nordic mythology...like

  • Is the conductor here the great Furtwangler

  • El estigma del Dr. Vaporeso

  • @Gargantupimp: are you really as thick as you make yourself out to be? The whole anti-semitism / racism thing is a bit boring now, mate. Here's an idea: why don't you stop irrationally hating people and just enjoy being alive in a world that, for the most part, accepts that everyone should be treated as an equal? You're no better than a Jew just as I'm no better than someone from China or Iraq. We're all humans. Remember that!

  • @lushmiki Well said. We are only here for a relatively short period of time. Much better to treat others as we would wish to be treated ourselves.

  • superb!

  • Lacklustre performance. This piece should be 'electric', not lethargic.

  • I wanna go to the altar to this music :-)

  • Thank you for sharing this amazing & awesome video.

  • @stealthedscout --well, it seems that that detail did not deter Daniel Baremboim to pick Wagner when visiting Israel some years ago...

  • Wagner simplemente es la ostia!

  • love wagner, I prefer him over verdi

  • why isn't there a "love" button on youtube? absolutely fantastic!!!

  • @lolibebe - agree :)

  • ahh, this is here comes the bride!

  • wagner is pure genius

  • i love wagner, genious. lovely

..also makes me think of disney

  • Yes, I would love to go to the opera again with you Demonorse. Your vixon has been waiting for almost 30 years for you to ask again. I think this song might be useful for us in the future, as well.

  • there's a big mistake from 0'53'' to 1'16"!! Tuba shouldn't play this part but in the final repetition of the main theme. Even it stops playing in 1:05!! At least i've always listened like that. I was surprised nobody had talked about it in 124 comments.

  • @CharlieRodriguez mmm naah that is in the tuba part. Maybe you've been looking at a different edition of the music
