Personally, Earthquake is the best big dude I've ever used. No 360 degree moves that you need to use, a somewhat projectile, a sneak attack of sorts, etc. The only thing that sucks about this game is the sound effects, mainly that sound when you do the super that removes half your health, one whole bar if you think about the 2 bar system.
SugarnCaffeine if you want to see really good 2D graphic then i suggest you play Guilty Gear XX lol that will own SF and SNK 2D with a blind fold.. if you think this recycled Neo Geo that is a decade old is the best that you seen then oh boy i don't know what to say there...

wow...Iori and Ken's max combo moves were the best! And the animation is sooo fluid, and all made in SNK style too...CVS was pretty cool, when it came to spriters...but i dont think it was that fluid....wow.
CVS2 looked like a MUGEN game (for others who're not sure, that's means it looks like crap). Some characters were redrawn to look good while others kept the same old sprites (Morrigan being the most outdated). Although SVCC also used old graphics, the newly drawn characters & graphics were all consistent with the old ones, so they all blend in better. Also the gameplay was straight forward and very balanced.
CvS2 does re-use graphics, mainly Capcom's side (Ryu was taken from Capcom Fighting Jam, Vega, Sagat, E Honda, etc were from SFAlpha, etc.), however, they drew Ken and Akuma based off Ryu, and made a new Bison from what I believe scratch. SNK seemed to redraw everything from scratch, making their characters more colorful akin to Capcom's style.
All the characters have a SNK style, including Sagat and the others. Alpha always had a more outlined, cartoon/anime style compared to this game. The animation is pretty good though.
i'll be honest; what turned me off from this game was having no air block as well as no roll or parry. i just never got used to the 'guard rush' or whatever it's called. also, move speed and priority seemed heavily skewed toward the snk characters :/
That Guile rush was just sick as hell. Damn, SNK made guile kick ass! I'm so dissapointed that this game never made it to PS2 in the U.S. I had to get an XBOX just for this game and it's still the only game I own on it. I'll probably get Street Fighter Anniversary Collection just because it's backwards compatible with 360 and it has online play. I want everyone to email Microsoft and demand SVC Chaos to be made backwards compatible!
Indeed. Especially Ninja Gaiden Black. SVC Chaos is an extremely under-appreciated game (then again, SNK is, in general, an under-appreciated company). I bought a copy for my PS2 while in Japan, and I really enjoy it -- good, old-fashioned slug fest. It feels really good when you get one of the really big, long MAXIMUM combos to work. :)

The calncels are available only when you are at level "MAXIMUM", when your super combo gauge is glowing. From then onward, you have to figure out which moves CAN be canceled into which ones... :D

CRAPCOM vs SnK 2 ruined SNK characters like VICE and RYO. Also i was kinda dissapointed that all SNK in that game had to be redesigned in order to fit with the colors and CAPCOM just trew some OLD Designs from like 7 years ago or more. Ex.MORRIGAN,ROLENTO,SAGAT,GUY..and just redesigned a few of them.(Yes I know they added some redisigned old characters they look really cool)And then they had the balls to make the same crap again with CAPCOM FIGHTING JAM.

Flashy moves, nonsensical chaos, and 90 hit combos don't a fighting game any better. That kind of stuff is for people who're amused by flashy attacks and beating up on a retarded AI to see how many hits they can get (hmm, kinda like all the senseless MUGEN videos on Youtube). If you auctually play fighting games with other ppl, you'll find that it's no fun having to sit there and watch your character take ridiculous damdage in a 70-80 hit combo that can't be escaped.
i disagree!.. flashy attacks and trying to beat up (non-retarted AI) is fun. just because you see one mugen character(or WIP) with no or retarted AI, dont assume that all MUGEN chars arent hard. And yes they make a game better.

This is the X-Box version. Have you seen the imported PS2 version of it? It's a lot quicker, but the graphics aren't as smooth.
