I will miss going to Ms. Connies ice cream shop. I go there every summer. I was there last for the Roehm family reunion. I am Elizabeth, Pat Smydra's grand daughter.
Thank God it wasn't even more windy than it already was or it could have been much worse. I never herd what started it, or if anyone was injured. I hope everyone is ok.
Actually, what burned was the bookkeeping office, the ice cream parlor, the video store, an apartment building, and two unoccupied buildings. The clothing store across the street is still standing but is a total loss on the inside. No banks burned.
Sad time, indeed for good ole Ontonagon. But by the looks of the recently posted videos of Marty's Goldenaires, the town had a good Labor Day festival. Check out the lawn mower races on here.

i live in ontonagon and i can list the thing that burned down it was the ice cream shop the bank and the clothing store
