Ah yeah, you did get videos of this other pond. I've never seen this video of yours before, don't know how I missed it. I was just here yesterday. On Google Maps it shows it as one large pond. A shame it appears to be drying up. Make this video a response to my video from yesterday.
Oh also, this explains why the trees are so low in that one area. I was wondering about that as you'll be able to see in the video when I get there. Very cool info.
That term "kettle hole pond"- I've never heard it used here in NJ.
Hey do you have ponds that dry up every summer, and then fill up again every Fall and Winter? We have many. They are sometimes called Vernal Ponds, or Coastal Plain Intermittent Ponds. The two Goose Ponds near here are that type. I tried to find the trail to them yesterday and it's no longer there. Some of my first videos were shot in that area.
sounds like you had fun! i should visit this area for my self one day. seems like a nice peaceful place. do you need a permit to walk around this area?
