I had problems with the vibrato. For my taste one looses (or gets veiled) too much of the amazing harmonical changes of that piece by this more "soloistic" way of singing. But dynamics and even intonation are great.
1) If you don't like it then close your eyes and listen. This was a completely informal, casual affair. The whole day of performances was about 8 hours of programming. People came and went as they pleased and dressed as they pleased.
2) Whether over-dramatic, prissy or not it's still a translation. Not everyone is fluent in poetic Italian.
Many thanks for studying and keeping this tradition alive. It's a shame that here in Italy even most musician barely know the name of the Prince of Music Carlo Gesualdo. Keep on singing please.
Ottimo risultato. Very good indeed. I really appreciate the interpretation fire, and the appropriate vocal participation, really. Gesualdo is a tremendous task for madrigalists. Molto bravi for almost the whole composition. Acceptable pronuntiation. Musically, I would stand a little bit more on final chords, just to close more in tune every phrase, and leave a proper rethorical rest before the new beginning. :) Bravi, Grazie.
