Besides, a player doesn't fall like that on purpose. His heel was clipped by the defending player. hence a foul and a red card for stopping an obvious goal opportunity by a foul. even in slow motion, the camera isn't fast enough to pick up the entire play. from the ref's point of view, it's a red card.
