@rapinNtapin if porn caused men to commit murder, im pretty sure there would be no women left on earth. crack pots shouldnt be calling the kettle black, sir. if watching porn makes you feel murderous, you might think about therapy - violence is not a normal reaction to sex.
@JadeFroggy Again you missed the point. Pornography is square one to obtaining a sexually perverted mind. Let me ask you this do all heroin addicts start with heroin? And I sense you (like most) confuse "sex" with pornography. Sex was created for marriage (Unheard of today in our society). Everyone has a choice and responsibility for themselves everyone can choose who they want to be, sometimes your surroundings influence you but its still your decision at the end to fight it or let it take over you and grow.
I knew a young lady who found out she was adopted; adopted by a lady who claimed to be her 'mom', turned out to be her foster parent. And, she had been baby-sit by her 'grandparents' who turned out to be her actual parents instead. She found all this out when she was 16. She became a runaway, left to herself, she became hyper-sexual, non-committed, unemotional, etc., bitch from hell. She was a co-worker for a time; don't know her anymore. But she was a hot mess; always hateful, easily triggered.
A lot of this is complete bullshit. There are many medical conditions that people are born with, but "serial killer disease" is not one of them!!! The human mind is a piece of putty that can be molded into nearly any form. The mind is shaped by each person's unique set of life experiences in combination with their own sense of logic/meaning, which is organic and grows over time. People can take "wrong turns" & become monsters. Anyone can. That's just life.
How I agree with you. People are brainwashed into thinking people are "born" serial killers or psychopaths. ANYONE. Me and you and random people walking on the street right now, can become monsters, through life experience and thoughts etc. Thoughts are a very powerful thing. I have gone through a lot, and one day I almost snapped and I know what that feels like. The rage inside you that consumes you to the point where you have to kill someone to lower your pain, it's a choice.
@schlumbucket "Serail Killer disease" does not exist but there is the disease of psychopathy. Psychopaths are prone towards criminality and never feel guilt or remorse since they do not have a conscience. It would be easy for a psychopath to murder if that was what they found gratifying. Many think Bundy was a psychopath and there is another theory floating on the net that he was an Mk-Ultra brain washed victim. Who knows with certainty?
@WW2medalsNpatchesME I think everyone would like to thank you for summing it up for us. It sounded like it was from a 8 year old but hey you did your best. You can go back playing with your Tonka toys now.
Psychopaths are born, not made. Their environment may help determine how their psychopathy manifests itself but they are genetically determined to be destructive in one form or another.
why do people say that they don't understand why there are serial killers in this world alot of times it is societies fault we exclude hurt and damage people and sometimes people cant handle it there's not much science to it ,its just that people a are a product of their surroundings and that can drive people crazy and alot of times people people want to be something more
@shanzydlh If they manage to stay out of criminal business, they're still ill but probably surrounded by people who're able to feel empathy. If they do not manage to stay out of criminal business, they're even more ill.
people who are psychopaths are born that way but it doesnt make them all killers. In fact its probably a less than 1% chance. They are our soldiers, managers and cut throat business men. Whether the psychopath chooses to take their 'gift' of taking risks and getting what they want to the side of darkness then clearly that is in some respects a choice.
All of those questions oversimplified. Was it this? Was it that? Was it his mom's fault? He had a combination of genes and a combination of life events. Any experience a person has had, someone else had too, but add them all up and that's what makes a person unique.
How lax were the Police in letting a dangerous sexual sociopath escape TWICE!!! The victims of Bundy AFTER his escape must be seething and absolutely mad as these additional murders were absolutely avoidable if the police had kept him under strict surveillance... Very remiss of these Polce Depts and I hope they would never allow that to happen with other sick psycho's who are undoubtedly out there even now!!!
Glad Bundy fried in the end... well deserved!!! He was a sick individual...
@chandx7 back in those days, law enforcement agencies in different states didn't communicate. Ted Bundy was one of the reasons why there are nationwide databases now. When he appeared on the scene, the law enforcement system wasn't ready for him. But yeah, that was on them when he escaped.
There is just absolutely no way in fuck anybody is born good or bad. That makes like zero sense. You can be born with disabilities or mental issues and what not that may doom a child to an extremely high chance of living negatively but never certain. That just doesn't make sense, No part of any genetic make up makes somebody a fucking killer that's absolutely proposterous. Genetic cloning theories, thanks.
Psychopaths are born bad and there is virtually no hope of turning them "good". Their upbringing, however, does determine what kind of bad person they are. A psychopath born to violent, abusive parents may become a crude violent bully, whereas one give good grooming and education might become a corporate swindler.
@LordBifford Psychopaths are definitely NOT born bad. How they are raised as a child determines how they act in the future. People aren't born 'good' or 'bad'.
@GADGETRONsc I'm afraid psychopaths are an exception. Why is this so hard to believe? Children can be born with mental conditions that are hard if not impossible to treat: autism, dyslexia, etc. Psychopathy is another mental condition you're born with.
@LadyDoloris They may be born with some sort of disability but how they are raised determines if they would be "good" or "bad". Lack of empathy does not result in killing.
@GADGETRONsc Of course it affects them... and they might just be able to stay out of criminal business. But they still wont be able to feel any empathy, and that often drives them to kill. They want to feel, so therefor they try to feel...
@GADGETRONsc I completely disagree with that statement. Sure, you can be raised a certain way, but what a person is capable of, or what they have within them, ultimately determines what could happen in their future. He stated himself that he was raised in a nice, loving family, aside from the lies that he was told as a child about his grandparents and mother. Ted Bundy did not form into a psychopath - he was always one - he never showed his true potential until later in life.
@lalasingingpants "What they have within them" What is that supposed to mean? If it means demons or some sort of supernatural this conversation is over. If you mean mental disorder... Being a Psychopath doesn't lead you to killing but it may act as a catalyst. As for your claim that he had a decent childhood: He experienced someone shooting someone else he knew in the head at a young age. He was also lied to by the very people who he trusted most. Combine that with psychopathy = Killer.
@LordBifford You may be right but I've seen a lot of serial killer cases and ALL of them were because they had a 'screwed up childhood'. I have yet to see a case with the explanation: 'because he was 'born evil'.
Ted Bundy had a bad childhood filled with lies, disappointments and uncertainty which led him to be awkward and insecure. The rolling snowball got bigger with time which made him into an immoral killer. It wasn't because he was born evil.
@GADGETRONsc I agree. Not to mention that the excuse of "Oh, I was just born this way" is absolutely dispicable, it allows the guilty to evade taking responsibility for what they have CHOSEN to do. Whether or not he was born with a disorder of some sort is inconsequential; many people are born with disorders and not all of them are killers. It depends on the individual and what they personally are capable of, and also on whether or not something happens in their life to set them off.

On the eve of his execution, he talked of suicide. "He did not want to give the state the satisfaction of watching him die"
Everything he did was because he always had to be in control.
"The ultimate possession was, in fact, the taking of the life," he said. "And then...the physical possession of the remains."
