Describe what an alternative PC should be to the Mac Pro. I'm trying to by a new computer and want to get the most bang for my buck. When I guy a Dell or HP, I just get different problems.

You are either a complete and utter shameless fraud or had no idea what you were doing. A single i7 will never achieve more than approximately 20,000 points at the very most at 3.80GHz. There are numerous videos available on YouTube which demonstrate this fact.
Your high score was due to that fact that you were running the R11 engine, which uses a different scale. If you would care to use the same engine as AppleSoldier, you will find yourself greeted by a practically identical score.
You can't really compare an all-in-one PC to a tower PC. All-in-one is essentially a desktop notebook. Yes its price / performance ratio sucks but a lot of people consider this performance sufficient for their needs while they get benefits like complete silence, low power consumption, great display and nice look.
Anyone who thinks the only comparison is raw CPU is missing the point. The biggest reason to prefer Apple over Windows is the OS. If you like working in Windows, great. Stick with it. Those of us who grew up on more professional environments (pick your favorite UNIX flavor) appreciate Mac OS.
Been using a PC forever, Currently have a WIndows 7 driven laptop that I love (2 thumbs up to W7)
However, for HD video and photo editing you just can't beat a Mac. The freaking things blaze through it. The OS is also 2nd to none. It has style and substance and just looks freaking bad ass.
The processor in this machine is out of date. The AMD Fusion are so much more powerful than the mobile i7s. 10x the graphical performance and 20% better cpu speed at the same clock speeds. You guys are mentally handicapped for buying this machine.

I thought it was only the CPU that was benchmarked, and I have my Hackintosh running both XP and OSX, getting slightly lower scores than the i7 iMac (which figures, since the iMac runs at 2.8GHz while mine runs at stock speed, 2.66GHz).
When I overclock my i7 920 to 2.8GHz I get scores that are similar to the iMac.
I even get better scores than the HD Mobility 4850 with my OLD Nvidia 9600GT.
who gives a fuck that macs don't have as much speed? the average person comes know where close to needing that kind of power. macs are easier to keep virus free and still perform everyday tasks well. .
I suppose this video proves that at least the first 60+ pages of Geekbench scores are 99% Mac computers and maybe that 1% of high-end custom machines that need "upgrading" every 6 months to a year. Oh, wait...
Are you familiar with modified Toyota Supras? They're great on dynometers...but have no usable power & are awful street cars. I own both a very powerful pc for gaming, a macbook pro 13.3" and an i7 iMac for pure functionality. I'm professional Motion Designer and work on windows and Mac. People who say that PCs are not for professionals, have no idea. Apps like 3D Studio Max don't even run on MAC OS. Most 3D Artists are Windows Users. Studios like Lucas Animation or Dreamworks work on HP PC Systems. CG for Avatar was made on PCs. The iMac Core i7 is great compact Consumer Computer and its Design is awesome. But it will never replace a custom built workstation or a Mac Pro.

So there for live application (even musician, producers and more) I have sow always mac.. for live.. for example the time code.. is very difficult to find one Control booth with one computer PC with protools and to control one big show in time code.. is very usefull that the dsp used for windows.. same times blocked..

In the agency I work we use MAC, Win and Linux Systems and it really depens on what you do. @Dysanfel23 No, but as a matter of fact the imac i7 with 8GB Ram is faster than the basic mac pro. I use an iMac i7 @work and it is a great computer. I was replying to posts of people claiming that macs are more used for creative production which is not true. It depends on which kind of production - in fact a lot of animation studios use mainly PC and of course a overclocked custom built PC with the right hardware will be faster. By the way Macs are also PCs (Personal Computers) .
@ 0:05 before is magnified the rendering score, if you read at the bottom the time is 17s. When the PC score is showed the time is magnified so we can read it, but not for the Mac. Am I wrong?
I don't know much about benchmark, but shouldn't be the most important how many second took to load the image? Because the mac took 17s vs 19s, doesn't this count?
@EpiDemic117 yeah, linux is stable, but seriously windows 7 yeah right. I have it on my mac, and that thing can't open up more than 3 cs4 apps without crashing. On m mac i can open up all cs4 apps and use it no problem. Windows 7, not half as stable as OS X. I would say that windows 7 is about as stable as a pontiac fiero.
I'm pretty sure thats because vista is awfully slow period, it has nothing to do with the computer. Macs actually run windows great, it has actually received awards from pc world for being one of the fastest computers to run windows... That's mainly because after you install windows on your mac you can install a set of very specific drivers that make every component in the machine work great, are you sure you did that?
Its overclocked at 3.8 because i want to get the most out of my machine, you cant!!. Thats why it takes you over one minute to render on cinbench which only takes me 19 seconds.

Imac is in relation to unreliable German luxury brand cars
Windows based PC's are kind of like american cars. Decently reliable but very high performing
Linux and windows 7 is like the Honda/Toyota of os's. Stable, and more reliable.
