The E46 looks much more robust than the E36 IMHO. I would put in the Signature Motoring performance intake kit for only around $150 and gain up to 13HP on the stock output for the 330i and a bit less for the 325 and 328. I highly recommend this item, see my youtube channel for the action video on it.

@05subiegt ya STIs may be quicker off the line but only for a good 2 secs cause m3 comes with a redline at 8,000 rpm so while your shifting at 6 we still got a whole other 2 to catch up..then after that it's down hill for the subie I know cause I have an m3 and I smoke STIs an Evos all day off the line and on rolls..

That isn't necessarily true. If the STi weighs less than the M3, the power to weight is the deciding factor, not overall hp. A streetbike has roughly 100hp for a 600cc, and 160hp for a 1000cc. That 160hp bike will RAPE a 333hp car any day due to the weight differential. Even the 600's will run a 1/4 in about 10.5 at 135. No way a M3 with 333hp will come close to that.

the subaru you raced was a wrx 225 bhp, i have the wrx sti with prodrive 320 bhp and i have raced my mates m3 witch has 343bhp and the subaru is faster.
thats not a spec C, spec C's were just recently made a couple years ago they made a 2007 spec C and a 2008 again a 2009 spec C thats like a 95 impreza
You can tell by the small bonnet scoop, black subaru logo when STI has Larger Bonnet scoop and pink logo and also on this Bugeye wrx it has the wrx head lights, the Bugeye STI lights are different with the blinkers chk on Google fellas..

Slap a horsepower freaks turbo on the M3 and you are looking at over 1000 WHP with stage 3. There are over 20 - 30 horsepower freaks turbo'ed M3s spanking Supras and Corvettes.
Hmm cost of a 2004 M3 stock, about $35,000 plus a $30,000 turbo kit, about $65,000. Cost of supra today, about $40,000. 2008 Corvette, about $52,000. M3 with turbo beating both of those cars = priceless. As you can tell the price difference isnt that significant for the performance you receive.
I didnt say it would necessarily reach 1000whp, but you can get a damn good turbo kit from HPF for about $30,000 which in my book puts the M3 at good standing against most stock cars dude.

Put 10,000$ in a honda and itl beat most stock cars dude. i'm thinking of getting either: supra, m3, or evo9. all have back seats and are fast. but in the end, i think the m3 would come out on top in terms of performance per dollar. right now, no other car has a more complete and better turbo system than the m3. no guess working or shoehorning with the m3 if you wanna upgrade it. it's HPF or nothing. i will agree that the e46 m3 is the best it's gonna get for the money. nothing comes close.

The supra is not a bad choice, but i prefer the overall performance of a car as well as its everyday use. i love the luxuries of the BMW. The backseats arn't that bad either. But to me, it just doesn't cry rareness- well, atleast where i live (toronto, canada). seems like everybody and their uncle has an m3. i love rarity that's why i drive a 91 mr2. also, the m3's kinda like another 3 series. whereas the supra, it's a SUPRA! the best thing the m3's got going for it is it's amazing forged engine and that HPF turbo kit. it's simply a bolt-on affair. even the ecu is PnP! doesn't get better than that.

Spec C would be more of a CSL competitor. M3 comes with full luxury, full interior and full safety features. The old 360 HP CSL is still much faster than your NEW spec C at 7:50 as the fastest laptime for M3 CSL. Imagine what a new 460 HP CSL that weighs only 3200 pounds or so will do. 7:30 - 7:35 should be no problem.
You are all pretty funny. I own a subaru 2.5rs coupe, my friend has a bmw e30 325is. Mine has 165hp, his 168. They are both stock, and both really fast( for what they are). We both have advantages, and disadvantages. But we dont argue, because the driver is what counts for lap times. If I am faster around a track than my dad's porsche 944 S2, does that mean my car is faster? Of course not, but I had better lap times.

Have you ever driven an SL65 AMG, you will find they go round corners great. Its having the correct throttle control round the corners, too much will put it into the field. You just gotta know how to drive powerful cars like that.

Thats not even an STI! A Spec C would lead up to 130 mph then BMW would catch up. You can spot STI's having golden alloys, spec C's with a rally roof hatchs! Have you seen any of these characteristics on that subaru in the video?

the fastest impreza in the uk (stock) is the one made between 05-07 with the ppp. it has 325bhp but again it is only going to be a matter of time before the m3 catches it. I love both cars i just cant afford either at the minute lol

It wasn't a Spec-C but it also wasn't a WRX, IT WAS AN STi!!!!!!! I am a fan of both Subaru and BMW but, jesus fucking christ these ricers(who are mostly high school students without their license) need to get off subaru's nuts! Subaru makes good cars but they aren't the single most amazing cars on earth, yes they have awesome tuning potential but an Audi quattro vehicle can match the symmetrical all wheel drive's performance and they also have great tuning potential. It is the slowest wrx besides the 1994 model, the bug eye gained weight and lossed power and is one of the least favourite wrx's

Japanese Cars are always better then German cars . Small engines that can reach 700hp and more . Cars that have a best performance and are not so expansive like a BMW m3. M3 is a wonderful car and I love it ...but the STi is the STi .

Hmm cost of a 2004 M3 stock, about $35,000 plus a $30,000 turbo kit, about $65,000. Cost of supra today, about $40,000. 2008 Corvette, about $52,000. M3 with turbo beating both of those cars = priceless. As you can tell the price difference isnt that significant for the performance you receive.

I didnt say it would necessarily reach 1000whp, but you can get a damn good turbo kit from HPF for about $30,000 which in my book puts the M3 at good standing against most stock cars dude.

Put 10,000$ in a honda and itl beat most stock cars dude. HPFs kit is great, but more than just what they have included in their kit will be required, being that M3 motors have roughly 100k miles on them already.

I plan to drop a sleeved shortblock, cams, heads, valvetrain within the next three years, and would like to make +700whp on race gas and methanol. And it is possible.
Of course the 450whp that I have now simply isnt enough.

i'm thinking of getting either: supra, m3, or evo9. all have back seats and are fast. but in the end, i think the m3 would come out on top in terms of performance per dollar. right now, no other car has a more complete and better turbo system than the m3. no guess working or shoehorning with the m3 if you wanna upgrade it. it's HPF or nothing. i will agree that the e46 m3 is the best it's gonna get for the money. nothing comes close.

My next car is a E46 M3 personally because I drive BMW and I know how good they can be, plus the E46 is famous as hell. Youre right though about HPF, its them or nothing, but personally I wouldnt mind a stock M3 now. You wanna get an M3 too?

my cousin has an e46 m3 and he let me drive it. it's decently fast and i love the powerband. my only downfall with the e46 m3 is exclusivity. just seems like everybody has one and it doesn't have that "wow" factor so much. however, it's more for the "mature" owner. something like the supra is more for the "look at me" owner.

Thats true dude, but to the driver enthusiast, the M3 is everything into one, like alot of german cars. The supra is not a bad choice, but i prefer the overall performance of a car as well as its everyday use. Around where i live in Virginia, the E46 M3 actually seems pretty uncommon, Ive only seen a few, just like the supras. However I do see alot of vettes and stangs. Where do you live that you see alot of M3s dude?

i love the luxuries of the BMW. The backseats arn't that bad either. But to me, it just doesn't cry rareness- well, atleast where i live (toronto, canada). seems like everybody and their uncle has an m3. i love rarity that's why i drive a 91 mr2. also, the m3's kinda like another 3 series. whereas the supra, it's a SUPRA! the best thing the m3's got going for it is it's amazing forged engine and that HPF turbo kit. it's simply a bolt-on affair. even the ecu is PnP! doesn't get better than that.

An M3 CSL E46 would still kill it. There is no STI on the top fastest laptimes around Nurburgring that matches or beats the M3 E46 CSL's 7:50. Not even close. Until an STI comes around and beats the M3 CSL's 7:50, M3 will pwn the STI everytime. Go look up the fastest laptimes around Nurburgring.
Oh did I mention the M3 GT-R V8 ran one of the fastest laps ever right up there with supercars of 7:18???

Spec C would be more of a CSL competitor. M3 comes with full luxury, full interior and full safety features. The old 360 HP CSL is still much faster than your NEW spec C at 7:50 as the fastest laptime for M3 CSL. Imagine what a new 460 HP CSL that weighs only 3200 pounds or so will do. 7:30 - 7:35 should be no problem.

You are all pretty funny. I own a subaru 2.5rs coupe, my friend has a bmw e30 325is. Mine has 165hp, his 168. They are both stock, and both really fast( for what they are). We both have advantages, and disadvantages. But we dont argue, because the driver is what counts for lap times. If I am faster around a track than my dad's porsche 944 S2, does that mean my car is faster? Of course not, but I had better lap times.

300 hp and 300 torgue is only due to a AWD.... check out the new 335i.... same. Again, THIS ISN'T A SPEC C!!!!! A standard MY05 Spec C will do the 1/4 in 12.6, small mods will bring that down to 12.1-12.3, no chance an M3 would stand a chance. THIS IS NOT A SPEC C.
