  • Ron Paul's integrity is truly inspiring. It's unfortunate that he doesn't understand economics. We are not bankrupt, we were much deeper in debt before. In 1946 the US was 117% of GDP in debt. Through a progressive tax structure we paid that debt down to only 24%!! (1979) (becoming the world's economic superpower along the way) 1980 gave us a new tax structure that redistributed the nations wealth to the top 1% and leaving the 99% of us owing 96% of GDP.

  • @H2J0E You are beyond fucking deluded. In 2011 your country no longer produces anything worth shit. In 1946 you produced lots of shit. In 2011 your debt is in the dozens (actually, hundreds) of trillions, especially if you take future unfunded obligations into account. That was not the case in 1946.

And to top it all off, you're all fucking arrogant assholes who can't survive without credit and an unbacked dollar now. In other words, you're fucking bankrupt beyond belief. You lose. Next?

  • @ClockIsRunningOut LOL, back in college my debate coach taught that someone knows they are clearly loosing an argument when they resort to name calling. (or your dealing with a small child) Your level of maturity is not the only problem with your egregious statement though. It's quantitatively incorrect. While only 4.5% of the world population the US produces over 24% of worlds GDP. That is over 3 times greater than China, it's next closest competitor. Read, study and learn.

  • @H2J0E

Arguing in the internet is a lot like running in special olympics: even if you win, you're still a retard :)

US may well produce over 24% of world's GDP, but that doesn't mean you guys actually produce anything useful. If US produced 24% of world's food supply, industrial goods and other real items, then I'd agree on your 24% assumption.

But your 24% is just financial GDP and consumtion (debt), which means 0% positive output. You don't give the world anything, yet you take so much.

  • @tukkajumala Exactly!

  • @H2J0E Look up "trade deficit", maybe you'll learn something.

  • @H2J0E You are wrong, debt has never been higher. GDP doesn't mean anything, it includes everything including government spending, and borrowed money. Ron Paul understands economics perfectly, you on the other hand obviously don't.

  • this is GODs punishment on YOU america!!!!! For invading Afghanistan

    Just ask Russia

this has nothing do do with economy & finance

america is just another superpower who has collapsed after invading afghanistan.

Afghanistan is a graveyard of empires.

    ALLAH U AKBAR

  • @Mancunian786 Typical religion freak.

  • @TheSWTORMMO call me a freak, but the facts are in front of you.

The Brits lost the war there, the Russians lost the war there, the Americans are still fighting there,

    eventually these empire collapsed.

its happening to America right now. USA will fall.

  • @Mancunian786 I don't disagree with that statement. We will not win the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq - they are unwinnable. That doesn't change the fact that Mancunian is a religious nut.

  • @TheSWTORMMO iam not.

unfortunatley alot of people have said the same as you.

looks like its going to take something serious to sober you up.

  • @Mancunian786 When you say Allah U Akbar that tells me you're a religious freak. Stop pretending you're not.

  • @TheSWTORMMO all i say to you is look past all this media rubbish.

read the koran, and i promise everything will become clear to you.

  • @Mancunian786 I don't have to read the koran to know the quotes it has in them that speak of death and destruction to infidels. I hold similar grudges against any religion that has that type of language in their books, so don't think I'm singling you out, but know that Islam is causing a lot of instability in the middle east.

  • @TheSWTORMMO the instabillity is caused by and is all to do with, people playing politics.

  • Most won't listen to Dr. Paul simply because he is stating truths that Americans don't want to hear. Americans, as Dr. Paul noted, are addicted to the Welfare / Warfare state. Most Americans don't want to relinquish their "rights" to entitlements or their position in the global community. Unfortunately, continued living in this fantasy will only exacerbate our crash. It's time to rise and shine America and wipe those sleepy eyes. The dream is over.

  • We are beyond the point for reform. I concur with rmcdaniel423 insomauch that we need to start anew. We need to clear our debt, abandon our future promised obligations, i.e. Social Security and Medicare, and start over. Some will suffer now, or all will suffer later. Which is worse. Before any one states that entitlements are not major problems, please note that by 2049 entitlements will consume our entire budget.

  • HE KNOWS WHAT TO DO TO HELP THIS COUNTRY, OTHERS DON'T!!!! ELECT HIM!

  • The aggregate of all we know returns Ron Paul and Rand Paul in the affirmative.

  • From Venice they went to Amsterdam and mingled with Royalty there as they always do. They have the Gold and so they can do this. They were given the right to operate the first International monopoly of the world - The British & Dutch West India Company. Today these same people operate the IMF, the FED and other predatory banks. They consider the outsiders as cows and they milk the people of the world until they die from starvation. End the FED!!! That is Ron Paul's answer. I am with him!

  • Ron Paul is the answer. He is the only one that has the intelligence to understand what this country must do. The urgency is strong. This is the real change we should be having. . We are addicts to our old ways. We must change or become irrelevant in the worlds eyes. The truth hurts but doing nothing will destroy this great country.

  • If only US Americans learned to live frugally and drop some of their needs rather than just not care and lead lavish lives.

They'd have to realize the transience of ressources and the money they use to buy them.

  • @MCAMVP yeah people drive huge brand new SUV's and Iphones yadda yadda but on a side note our government encourages us to live this way so it's definatley not the average americans fault we have simply walked the path we have been shown now is the time to veer off of that path that is inevitibly down hill.

  • he is smart but too old.

  • @0engima0 I'd rather have an "old" SMART Ron Paul than a young DUMB Obama.

  • @SCLARK2112 Obama is not dumb, he is ignorant about what needs to be done. It's not the same.

  • @0engima0 dude by what 5 years? a taxidermy Ron Paul could run this country better than what we have now.

  • All empires throughout history that tried to dominate the globe eventually crumbled to the ground in calamity. Only a free society to be unleashed from mob rule can create productivity and wealth. If we don't restore the Republic, we are done!

  • kick out the jews after the fed gets burned to the ground.

  • Maybe you Paul supporters don't want to hear this. But the truth is Paul won't win in 2012. Why? Because he's perceived as a "fringe" candidate. Good luck in trying to be taken seriously. Because he won't be.

  • i <3 ron paul...rand.....not so much

  • Ron Paul is probably the only person I'll ever be trully thankful for his public service in my life. It's not an easy job to basically tell Americans that they have it all wrong, but the truth needs to be heard.

  • @AtopaMesa Thats exactly the hard truth of the matter. Americans don't want to hear that over 20% unemployment, welfare, and a monetary system that is trying to manipulate trillions in bad debt is going to explode in our face. Or that trying to force our world view on others hasn't done anything for us other than get us involved in several wars. Wars that have not only been incredibly expensive, but have cost the lives of Americans and people abroad.

  • The gov sanctions bankruptcy for individuals and companies, as a way to stop the madness, face the facts, admit defeat, clean the slates, make a better plan, and start anew. Take your licks like a man and figure out how to move forward. Yet, when it comes to the shared economy, they just keep shoving us deeper & deeper down the shithole of impossible obligations, with no hope in sight.

    We need a "reset" button.

  • I believe when we started on the path of the credit system that there was no turning back. Our debt has building steadily throughout the years and you can't really blame any one party. It's been a bipartisan agenda all along. SIMPLE PRINCIPALS!!!!!!!!! What the hell happens when you borrow all your life what you do not have??????? Duhhhh... We labeled ourselves the worlds role model based on what???? money we never had? minus our credit we are even up with 3rd world countries.

  • The whole responsible concept behind spending only what you have is a day late and a dollar short. It's not something you can do now without war breaking out in the streets, mass starvation and violence like we have never seen. I'll bet that a good 75-80% of the supporters of allowing the debt ceiling to be breached would only do so with some naive assumption they themselves would not be subjected to devastation. If it happens they'll have to sleep in the bed they made.

  • @vblord well said. Rand is very bright, he learned from the best.

  • I love Ron, but his son is dumb as fuck.

  • @spencerdev91 seriously

  • "in your leaders??" George Dipshitopolous is an idiot.

  • Ron looks like he is seriously lacking sleep in this video.

  • Dr. Paul (Father Paul) is a great man and a true patriot. Rand on the other hand, is a dumb turd who needs to go away...

  • You can bet me the debt ceiling will be raised. Obummer is a socialist and he knows he must collapse the economy. Those slimy politicians we have elected to look out for our interests will have no impact on Obummer. They couldn't care less. As long as they get their bribes. They're all looking out for themselves! If Ron Paul would have been elected, they probably would have shot him. He's a fine man and I am glad he lost.He would have been a threat to the Federal Reserve Bank and killed. So sad!

  • Rand is a positive, consensus builder. Looking for solutions. Ron knows the truth but his critical approach builds negativity. He should be proud how his son takes his philosophical truths and states the path ahead. They are a great team.

    =D

  • Legislation to cut $500 billion is a good thing but it's not enough.

The deficit is $1,270 billion ($1.27 trillion) or maybe more.

If Congress cut at least $1,150 billion first I'm sure people would be willing to pay a higher tax and write a check to the government for the remaining $120 billion to balance the budget and end increasing debt. Tax increases would only fix 10% of it, so get the other 90% done first. Who know, maybe they can cut the other $120 B too and not need tax increases?

  • @js7un we dont need tax increases, we need decreases. When more people are paying into the system when they are working, revenue goes up and this is not linked to jacking up everyone's taxes. Taxes for Local, County, State, and Federal are around 50% of our income right now. Real unemployment is at or around 23%, in other words 1/4 of Americans are not generating to their potential, the rest of us are dealing with decreased wages due to NAFTA/GATT. Higher taxes are not the answer

  • The cheesy journalist asked Paul if it would be a bad thing if we defaulted and the economy sagged worse. Of course it would get worse by doing the right thing. But mark his words, if DC doesnt stop what they are doing with the Federal Reserve, the dollar will be rejected across the world. Then many people here will starve to death. This isn't a joke at all. Hyperinflation is happening right now.

  • I respect the differences between Rand and Ron. It's clear that their positions regarding certain political issues do not parallel each other- however with that being said- both are honest, both are straight-talkers and not your typical BSing politicians- that alone should catch the public's eye in 2012--

  • this is moronic - how is "cheating people" by printing money is worse than complete devaluation of the currency which is what you get if you default

    - instead of printing money a little (a trillion or 2 ) at a time default would mean hyperinflation and printing trillion dollar notes - how is that better ?

  • @quazimail kicking the can down the road is not prudent, making it a political talking point is even worse. There is no way we can avoid the pain now, stop apologizing for the Fed. We should have gone through the correction almost 5 years ago and we could have been pulling out of it now. Instead, we've got future uncertainty.

  • Are they going to vote for raising the debt ceiling? If yes, they are not acting like they promised.

  • @ERROLCUSTERFLYNN4EVR

I rest my case....we're all pulling for you. With some help, you can overcome your illness.

  • It would be great if all you people who are claiming that Rand differs so much from Ron would provide some citations to your claims. Any at all would be great. Thanks.

  • @milkman52879 There differences are more apparent than they are real, but some do exist. For example, Rand is in favor of military prisons and tribunals while Ron is very much against both. Rand is also more "mainstream" than Ron when it comes to troop withdrawal.

I'm very proud to have worked on Rand's campaign, but he is not his father (which is actually both good and bad).

  • @PhoenixFlag1776

I do not claim Rand is his father, or that they're identical in every way, but anyone who claims that Rand Paul subscribes to an interventionist foreign policy as if he's just another neo-con simply doesn't know what they're talking about.

As far as Rand being more mainstream than Ron, I agree that he is, but I'm not so sure it isn't because they both realize that enhancing Rand's mass appeal could be a more effective political strategy than being as against the grain as Ron is

  • @milkman52879 I never said he was in favor of interventionism. I'm sorry if that's what you took from my post.

But he IS in favor of military prisons, at least for now.

As for enhancing mass appeal: yes, that is absolutely what Rand is going for.

  • @PhoenixFlag1776

Actually, that's not what I took from your post, that's what was being implied in the post that I replied to, which your initial post was regarding.

  • @milkman52879

That's a great point there, milkman- I share the same perception- Nice strategy to HELP a mass wake up, maybe!?

Cleanse yourself with truth, because our very lives are being restrained from a REAL freedom that awaits us through this thick heavy fog of DANGEROUS lies that we are often deceived into believing!-Its kind of phenomenal to me, actually! • So much for the full faith and credit of the United States Government. Two idiots in government saying the government is broke is not a sign of confidence.

What a couple of mutant trailer trash garden gnomes.

  • @sbacon92 so i'm guessing you'd rather have government officials that would blatantly lie to your face and paint a rosy picture? LOL

take the red pill and man the fuck up. we're broke u dumb ass. if our creditors dump the dollar due to our reckless debt/spending, then we'll all be fucked u idiot.

  • @sbacon92 Why would you have such faith in the United States Government? I believe your faith is misplaced

  • Ron is a great man and a true hero. Rand Paul is a total joker and laughable in every regard...

Its just laughable theater now. RP is my hero, but the system is beyond repair.

  • If Rand simply follows his fathers lead and only votes for what is Constitutional, he'll do well!

As for people who say Ron Paul is too old, that's discrimination or ageism, my 94 year old uncle is sharper than most 35 year olds and carrys a lifetime of wisdom, and Ron Paul is sharper than him!

  • I think Rand deliberately displays himself as more moderate conservative than he actually is. Like a bridge between Libertarianism and the Republican party. Sneaking himself in this way doesn't bode well for his integrity meter but if the tactic works; then fine. Is it ethically wrong to deceive and infiltrate an ethically bankrupt organization if your goal is to change things for the better? Certainly it's risky but I don't think the answer to this is black or white.

  • Smarmy git, he was so nasty to Ron Paul in thelast campaign but now he is all smiles.

Central Banking = Political Bribery & Cronyism!

We must AUDIT and then END THE FED.

  • Wait a minute, lol we call it the debt ceiling now, lol why not just call it the trillion dollar debt that Bush and Obama has got us in?

  • Ron Paul 2012 and let his son take over for him in senate.

  • Rand is no RON. I don't like the Royalty thing going on. Ron Paul is cool but his son isn't. He is pro war and pro Israel. Same ole shit, different suit and name only.

Ron is always the same and is on a different plane than his weak son who is going to do NOTHING to stop the banks and the wars. MOCK these words. Especially you sheep who follow anyone that people tell you to follow. Rand hasn't said anything enlightening since he has been on the scene. People wake the fuck up. Baah Sheep

  • @genefire

Why would Ron Paul work so hard to get his son in the senate if Rand didn't subscribe to the same foreign and fiscal policies that Ron has fought for decades to bring about? When has Rand made pro-war or pro-Israel comments? At what point has Rand openly disagreed with any of his father's stated principles?

Just because Rand hasn't gone on camera thus far and repeated Ron's stated principles verbatim doesn't mean that they disagree. He was just sworn in for fuck's sake.

  • @milkman52879 You might want to try paying a little more attention.

  • @israelandersonvideo

Pay more attention? They recently stated in a video that there isn't anything regarding policy that they completely disagree on. If I've somehow missed such a tremendous difference between the two, then provide some citations to back up your position.

  • @milkman52879 Ron is a true believer of freedom, he's not going to control his son's life/views.

  • @BlackThought415

Who said anything about Ron Paul controlling Rand Paul? If they are so different, provide citations to news videos, articles, etc that back your position.
