Eye of the North is the expansion. The Other Guild Wars are standalones. Thus in order to play Eye of the North, you must have 1 of the 3 standalone games.

Ahh yes, I miss the good old days of playing GW. But I don't miss other players leaving you in the middle of a mission and not getting a good party because nobody's willing to help you. And since it's almost impossible to finish this game without a party, I had to stop playing this without finishing the story, sadly. But thank God for Lord of the Rings Online!

If you havent got GW already you are best getting the "guild wars complete collection" all the games including eye of the north on one dvd. For £14.99 best price I have seen online anyhow. I still dont own Factions or Eye of the North. Kinda makes me wish I waited a bit longer. After stop playing wow after 4 years or so I am back to playing GW because it doesnt suck your life away like Warcraft does. Ofc not as good a game but you dont have to spend hours and hours on GW comp to wow raids n so..

Everyone needs to know that once you are out in the real world you cannot see anyone else but the one's in your party. It's psuedo MMO with City that serve as a glorified chat room. PvP is solid, but I hear they are going to fix these things in the next game. But don't be fooled.

Yeah iv'e tried Silkroad, and the possibilites getting logged in is like 1/100. In Guild Wars you get logged in everytime except sometimes when is Event going on. The server system is better on GW than Silkroad

Nope, after activation of another expansion you just need to do short quest line to get access to new lands. You don't need to create new character.

Yes it is, guild wars prophecies, factions, nightfall are standalone games and eye of the north is the expansion so EVERYTHING is different in each campaign including the expansion :)

This game sucks.. Its not even an mmorpg.. You can't meet people outside cities, Villages and outposts. The only way to play with other players is to group up b4 going outside the cities. I find that boring as hell. No world pvp. And that you hit lvl 20 max lvl in 1 day. Just as you get the money u can afford the best armor in the game. I had col ed so i sold col ed items and got enough money to get the best armor of the game in lvl 1.. LAME!!! LAME AS FUCK. Some of u might like it tho. But idnt

Not true, iam sorry to say.. The part of the whole construction of Guild Wars was that it had to be no monthly fee, that you are right! However, they were never compairing their game with WoW, they are not even interested, sort of ignoring them in a way.. They know that one day, people will get tired of WoW.. This day will come up when Guild Wars 2 has arrived!

In fact because they instance the game it reduces lag. The only reason you could get lag is a internet connection or video card is weak. Other then that the game runs smoothly.
