The Biblical role/function of an elder/pastor has been INFLATED & overloaded. Many other gifts in the body of Christ are squelched, minimized, and ignored. Many pastors today are goat-herders, trying to micromanage both sheep and goats, instead of exercising church discipline to purge the congregation of unrepentant sinners, so that the congregation is unleavened & pure like our Savior Jesus Christ.
I just recently watched an excellent documentary, " The Hidden Faith of the Founding Fathers", and discovered that the Founding Fathers were all 33rd degree freemasons. They actually hated the true God of the Bible! You will be shocked to discover what the Founding Fathers actually believed in the own words! Please do a search and learn the truth for yourself.

Pastors have always been crooks and liars and thats irrespective of race. The KKK often operated out of churches thats why they couldnt be found.
Black Pastors have been robbing the people for decades and if it were not for them robbing the poor black communities would be a lot more informed and progressive.

Just because some corrupt people pretended to be genuine pastors and used the "term" pastor to gain trust and to deceive and gain control over people doesn't prove anything. It only proves that the term "pastor" is known as a trustworthy term, hence the false use of that title to gain trust. Just another example of a "wolf trying to use sheep's clothing" for evil purposes.
The term "Pastor" is only used one time in the entire NT! How come he is the BIG CHEESE in the church???? Where are the prophets???? Where are the evengelists????? Where does it say that there is ONE pastor who runs the show???? Ask someone who is the senior prophet in their church and watch them go crosseyed!

the word Christ used that was translated "church" is Eklesia, and it simply means... "Called out ones"
it is not a building, and you are told to worship the Father in spirit and in truth.
