  • The neighbors must have thought this was interesting

  • was this really in your physics book?

  • You have an awful physics book.

  • This is gold. I have so much respect for your music selection.

  • Thank you. I just wasted the entire morning looking for and reading a physics book.

  • My physics book has a problem about a man being blown up by dynamite.

  • 2:05 ! omg ! it's a tomberry ! ...hum sorry

  • What the hell kind of physics book do you have... wow.

  • lol you guys are funny.

  • why wouldnt he arrest a couple of fags in a trunk of a foil covered van? thats the question

  • HOW DID THE POLICE OFFICER SEE IN, god DAMNIT!?!?!?

    I MUST KNOOOWW!

  • "Half silvered windows"

In other words one way mirror.

  • He put the mirroring on backwards

  • likek how its 4 minutes and 20 seconds long lol

  • I haven't heard Papa Loves Mambo in forever! It makes me want to play BioShock. . . .

  • Haha.

The van looks like a mobile meth lab.

  • haha. these questions are ridiculous

  • I hope you do more of these.

  • ummmm......what reason would the police officer really have to arrest this guy? just cuz he stupidly put aluminum foil on his car?

  • A belated answer: Because it's an obstruction of your view, which is illegal. You're putting other people at risk because you can't see where you're driving.

  • thats not the point guys, that was part of the physics problem in the book. They didn't actually get pulled over for driving like that, the guy was obviously not a police officer

  • Just answering his question.

  • @4anilem you just gave the answer

  • i love how you have different guys doing the physiscs skits its like a real tv show on youtube lol

  • the cop saw that the car was covered in an aluminum foil... if i were a police officer i'd check it out too...

    dumbest question.

  • more please. it would also be nice to know what specific physical problem it pertains to and the solution. educational and entertaining!

  • should do more :D

  • good, but about 2 minutes too long

  • "Real Word Problems" were my favorite of your skits, would like to see more.

  • keep em coming the're good!

  • I have psych books that say the same things I think thats why we never read them in my classes

  • because the brighter side of the half-silvered mirror is visible to the darker side. When you're inside the car during the day, you can see out because there are no lighting in your car. In a dark parking lot, the lantern brightens up the interior of the car, so the inside is now visible to the dark outside. Voila.

  • You fail because you know that.

  • and YOU fail because you actually read my long-ass comment..from A MONTH ago..and replied..

  • so it's basically like a one-way mirror? hmmm...interesting

  • thats actually really interesting!

  • Ahaha I love Perry Como! Maaagic Moooments!

  • Well i gues he would see reflecting light from the aluminium. And probably thought "Hey, I should inspect that".

    Just a plausible answer.

  • As a canadian my comment is.... crazy american physics books hahaha

  • I should add that we probably have the same quality of crazy questions just in a dumbed down version :p

  • I don't know where you go to school, but our problems are not "dumbed" down.

  • half silvered mirrors are just one way mirrors. The inside is brightly lit so light reflects more frequently...outside isnt so the image passes through. Agreed the scenarios of physics problems are ridiculous though. I still remember laughing at the problems I was given.

  • I love the physics book problems! Is there any chance we'll get more of those? Pretty Please?

  • WTF, what's the answer?

  • oh wait, i get it.

  • Well WTF is the awser :3

  • The latern light.

  • wow that physics book is crazy

  • wow

    what a book

  • hmm

where do i remember this song from?..

i think it was the end of Beetlejuice

  • How did he drive the van with every window and the windshield covered?!

  • MAKE MORE!!!!

  • Physics are cool!!!

  • At NIGHT.

    With a LANTERN.

The light of the lantern was visible through the silvering.

    The cop saw the light.

why he opened the door, however, is a different question.

  • go suck a dick.

  • lol are you serious right now?

  • the problem SAID it was aluminum on plastic.

  • ahahahahahahahahahah that was hilarious

  • Uhh... Well... there's no LOGICAL answer... but Cause it was dark outside. Something about sun shine on the mirror... fuck it. Physics can blow me for thinking these questions are okay to publish!

  • Umm maybe because it's illegal to cover up your windows so the cop opened up the door and saw them?

  • wait... is there really an answer to this question?

  • The car was stolen. Cop saw number plate, looked it up since it was suspicious, saw car was reported stolen, investigated, found guy. If my answer doesnt contain any physics then consider the electromagnetic radio waves being used by the cops radio....

  • omg Who the hell writes these ridiculous questions?!

    Really funny vid though!

  • I bet physics book writers have a guffaw session after writing up these scenarios.

  • Playin' star munchkin?

  • Wait. The privacy of his own HOME?

  • ahahahahaha excellent work. i wonder how long you had to wait for a cop car to drive by :P

  • I've got an A-level in Physics and I can tell this is an awful assignment you've been given. lol. I may be able to help w/ physics but... er... not that question!

  • LOL loved the little end bit of you two laughing.

    hilarious video.

  • Oh man!... I just knew they were playing UNO!

  • I can't believe I just got assigned this problem for homework the other day XD

Its rather annoying that almost all of the problems from that chapter use the same concept in as many strange scenarios as they can... I'm amazed they never came up with one stupider than this.

  • the car was stolen.

  • i dont get it

  • that's kind of the point.

to show how ridiculous the problems in his book are.

  • yeah. good job on that.

  • a half silvered mirrors split beams of light. the bright side shows through to the dark side.

  • Hilarious, and I like your choice of music.

  • Wait a minute doren't half silvered mean a mirror that lets some light through it you know, like mirrored sunglasses?

  • Maybe the lantern made their shadows show up through the silver stuff?

I dunno. Dumb question. Great video.

  • the windows were only half covered!! But the vid is freagin hilarious, lol =P

  • oh my god, you have the lamest physics book ever!

or maybe i wish my physics books were so funny!!

  • What the heck was the answer? O_o And what could they have been possibly been doing in the car to get arrested? ....

  • Dunno, but driving a vehicle you can't see out of has gotta be a crime!!

  • what book is this?

  • the answer: the windows were only half covered

  • another answer: he might have saw the light of the lantern?

  • lol @ how you did the cop

  • Ohhh diffucult ... he saw their shadows maybe.

  • i fucking love it man. Brandon Hardesty has a cameo, playing the cop in this one. These guys have so much fun I bet.

  • What the hell was going on through the minds of the people who wrote that book?

  • The people who write physics books are crack heads I swear.

  • Anyone in physics be it the professors or the people writing the textbooks are such flippin crazy people XD.

  • Thats why I hate math!

  • I love these physics book videos..but don't leave us hangin here..the answer..please...

  • Hear hear!

  • I'd hit that

  • Oh my god! This is hilarious! :D

  • I am very curious to know what these answers are to these problems.

  • Same!

  • I really loved this one! Encore, encore!

  • Nice work again gang, keep these coming

  • I want to know what a man was doing with his friend inside the van that caused them to be arrested ;)

  • Underage gambling.

  • That's what was in the video...is that what the people who made the book had in mind?

  • probably they're doing drugs? hehe..

  • The video is 4 min 20 sec

  • I was eating when I watched this and almost choked when he seran wrapped the car and couldn't get in the drivers side. ROFL!!!! Thnaks for the laughs!

  • Hahaha, Please make MORE of these. They're the best.

  • Nice song! UUUPPHH!

  • I think the important question here is "did you actually see anything through the windows?"

    I'm guessing not, though.

  • Hahaha that problem was my homework last night.

As an answer I put that the light source inside was much greater than the light outside, therefore making the police officer able to see inside.

There is MUCH more light outside than inside the van in the day so it is reflected off the aluminum

  • nice.

  • Well.. maybe it wasn't a police officer.. maybe it was SUPERMAN!!!! Seriously, whoever wrote that physics book should be shot!

  • you have to take physics to really appreciate this ...

  • Do you actually have this problems on a book??

    They're totally riducolous!

I hope whoever wrote that book is in an asylum...or getting well paid in a cabaret show!

    :D

  • You wouldn't make it that far with foil all over the car. Just saying. Tell your school to get new books. lol

  • lol the tv at the back in the end of this video lol gjdhdfgh, dufighdfj, dgdfg, dgaqwa, sdfhfdf, sdfAA,

  • What seemed slightly satirical to me is (and maybe I'm just imagining this) that this video is a kind of commentary on the government's attitudes towards gays.

Now, obviously both guys are not gay - they're playing cards in the trunk of a van. So what, right?

But the cop opens the trunk (how he saw them I still have no idea) and he only sees one thing: two guys in the trunk of a van. After seeing this, he "promptly" arrests them.

I just kind of thought this was funny.

  • Alright. This is a video about problems in a guys physics book. And somehow, you get on the subject of the government and gays. Nice way to get thrown of subject.

  • so what is the answer to that question?

  • I think the point was to prove how stupid the question was, not to make it realistic

  • Why does everyone care so much about the answer? lmao

Its not a two way mirror its half silvered, and I'm guessing the balance of light controls the visibility. When light is available on either side, you can see that side through it. Like the sun on the outside during the day, and the lantern on the inside which is how the cop saw it.

  • you got it right. lol.

  • dude... your friggen smart

  • Lol thank you?

  • How DID the officer see in? Not that a van covered in tinfoil wouldnt be suspicious on its own.

  • I don't know, but it probably had something to do with the use of a flashlight on tin foil.

  • at least that problem isn't as stupid as the law in my social studies book that says it is illegal to tie a giraffe to a telephone pole in downtown Atlanta or the law that says it's againts the law to hear a horse neigh after 10:33pm

  • What's the point of that problem? Why the hell would someone do that to their car? Still, funny to watch.

  • he only had the windows half silver

  • yah i wanna get that book too

does the screen saver tell the answer? geohound might be right

  • what was the answer to the question?

  • I don't get it. What is the answer to the question?

  • lmao, i need that physics book, sounds a crease lool

  • If anyone didn't notice, the " Police Officer " is actually the guy in almost all the other videos.

  • no shit sherlock

  • L0L "the guy" l0l is almost famous on youtube

  • dude, the shit head below this comment thought it was an actual Police Officer, It was to tell him and hopefully others who missed that detail.

  • Wow, I've never seen a cop with a sense of humor before. Every cop I've dealt with has yelled at or pushed me.

  • maybe you shouldnt be under the influence while around him

  • Omg, this made me want to take Physics.

  • at the end of the movie what does the screen saver say?

  • i loved it ur awsome dude!!!

  • the cop saw him because whenever a van with foil on its windows in parked in a parking lot in the middle of the night u know theres some weird shit goin down

  • Hilarious and ridiculous. Is this some kind of academic plot to make students insane?

  • lol..i totally enjoy your physics videos...like totally awesome

  • It's VERY funny when he tries to open the door and he realises he hadn't cut it!!!

  • lol more!!!

  • hmmm...i dont get it...how did the police officer see them...is it supposed to be a riddle?

  • A two-way mirror, also sometimes referred to as a one-way mirror or One-way Glass, reflects some percentage of the light and lets some other percentage pass. It is a sheet of glass coated with a layer of metal only a few dozen atoms thick, allowing some of the light through the surface (from both sides). It is used between a dark room and a brightly lit room

  • Moral of the story:

    Don't get an SUV.

  • whats the answer?!

  • u guys are great. i love these.

  • eh??

  • lol I have that song on my iPod *bows head in slight shame, but then realizes that there's nothing to be ashamed of* and I was so sure it was Dean Martin. Lol anyway, awesome vid man, once again :D 5 stars

  • Please make more Physics movies! These are F'ing Hilarious! Keep up the good work.

  • Damn clever videos, and well made.

  • hey these are hilarious you really need to do more and aluminum with seran wrap isnt half silver mirriors

  • I don't think you could see in unless it was a ridiculously bright lamp.

  • Awesome video.... Those "real world Problems" always pissed me off cause they made no sense. Great Idea to show just how lame of examples they are!

  • "how could he see through?"

He did'nt, he was suspicious that a van covered in aluminun and plastic was out in the middle of the parking lot at the middle of the night, took a look in through the "trunk door" (whuch just hapens to be open), and catch them doing whatever it was that they were doing.

  • oh u got it

  • omfg someone replied to my comment and now i cant find it becasue it is somewhere in 18 pages of comments

  • ctrl + f works also and also Im an idiot! Why didnt I think of that when i try to find my old comments...

  • before I saw the cards I really did think something gay was gonna happen o.O;;;

  • aw, why didn't you say what the answer was?

  • lol i love the end

    "... this is so retarded."

    "i kno-o-o-oww! xD"

    priceless

  • LMAO thats kind of sad but funny as fuck at the same time

  • the cop busted you b/c he figured when he opened up the van covered with half silver mirrors he would catch a couple of homosexuals playing "Who's in my mouth" but instead was dissapointed when finding a couple of nerdy lookin youths playing some kind of odd card game.....I actually looked this um..answer up..i swear!

  • the point of the problems (in actual sense) is to aid the people using the physics book to understand all cases that the principals may be applied to. while it may be taken to good humor, its looking at something generally un-exciting in a whole new way, opening the learners eyes to things that may not have been obvious right away.

  • what is the point of these problems!!!!!! :(

  • How could the police officer see in?

He couldn't. He arrested them because anyone in a dark parking lot with silver foil on their car is up to some crazy shit.

  • lol...

    1) he entered with a lantern-uh...who carries a lantern?

    2) climbed in the back with a friend-bwah chicka wah wah....

  • you never cease to disappoint, and i want that zelda sweater! great video

  • this was so amazingly fuking stupid that it made me laugh ( i still think youre a fucking idiot)

  • I don't get it......

I'm sure I'd like it better if I knew the answer to the question
