The way it works is an Israeli producer buys the rights to the show and then can do whatever he wants with it, Rick Lyon (or anyone from the original Production) has nothing to do with the actual performance. This goes the same for any other country's production.

I learned this today at a talk given by Rick Lyon and some others about Avenue Q, and they said they enjoy going on YouTube and checking out these international productions!

I know it is really hard to translate, But in hebrew it sounds shitty. Really. ok, most of the actors are kindof well known, but as i know our dear old israely pals, they DO NOT know how to translate things!!! Yes, it is hard to translate, but i love avenue Q and harry potter, and both translations SUCK! but, this should be funny, i want to see it...even though i think its to late to buy tickets..

You guys have to realize, the budget level is VERY different in Israel. However, the translation is very lazy... It's not quite as clever as I'd have hoped.
