Why blow up treaties that limit prolifiration, both conventional and unconventional. Russia has FAR bigger troubles then their border with Europe. European 'military' is non-existant anyway. Now we can all go back to the cold war and start a new arms race. With Russian politics degenerating rapidly into totalitarity, Russian economy will soon follow. Russia should focus on housing, combatting poverty and corruption, and reinstating Democracy.

what alot of stupid americans dont understand... is that this treaty dose not only limit russia but the USA as well! we are both equal in military numbers because of this treaty... it a matter of opinion on who has the best equipment though IM WITH RUSSIA! BEST MILITARY IN THE WORLD!

its normal,if i was russia,i would put the army fully mobilized,and ready to invade alaska, and the nukes ready to attack all targets, US threats are serious,why there is no treaty regarding the US military,that doesn´t even recognize haia to judge her war criminals,Nato must cease, europe doesn´t trust american republicanism,an Euro Russian aliance would put the US in deep economic shit,and force the change in US governement policies,then we all can be friends

Just one problem with that. Russia has its own alliance with anti european SCO so clearly Russians don't want to join europe do they?! If anything Russia and We chinese are gonna destroy the EU someday to ensure Asian dominance in the future.

The problem is that Russians are europeans,and already,there is a good amount of pro EU people.

i think its more a cultural battle than a geographic division,its a complex issue.

europeans were  asian peoples,that migrated,mostly from India,and lately Manchuria.

Russia and China may not be good alliesand we probably won't be in the future but that doesn't mean they wish to be european either. Many Russian aren't of European decent and Slavic Russian in a poll conducted identify themselves of being eurasian not european.

2-US creates disputes between us, is not convenient for them our approach.

Despite that, our relations with Russia never have been so good,and lots of russians want to join EU, what really keeps NATO its that we have 37 % of share in the US economy,we cannot get out so easily,its why if US becomes fascist,we will have the motivation to remove everything we have there,and then nothing will prevent us from the inevitable union.

The whole treaty is stupid. According to it, russian army is limited in its movement inside russia. Makes no sence.

RmanDC, The Bush administration should stop trying to push NATO into eastern Europe. The proposed US missile system for Poland and Czech Republic is very provocative. This is like pissing into a cave inhabited by a large bear--and this animal has the TOPOL-M missile.

But Russia has many problems to resolve also: high abortion rate, corruption in government, deteriorated infrastructure, declining white population, and rural poverty, etc.
