@stickmister321 art is art. it doesnt matter who is doing it. you could think this is crap, someone else might think this a master piece. take jackson pollock for example. frankly i think his art is rediculous, all he did is splatter paint on a canvas and call it a master piece. but thats my opinion. obviously alot of people thought he was a genius otherwise he wouldnt be so damn famous. get my drift?

Art or drawing if that's what you are referring to, isn't THAT easy to begin with. Unless you've drawn since you were a child or you've practiced a lot. People have some creative talent in them, all of us do. And, it doesn't mean that when you CAN'T draw, paint or sculpt you suck at art. You are just a beginner that's all if that is the case, you just need to learn and practice a lot.

is there something other than spray fixative to protect the drawings from smudgging like a plastic or a varnish that can be put inside the sketchbook?

for a cheap alternative you can use hairspray, you can also use a clear varnish spray. that works the best. it also brings out the colors.
