Song is like at Look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping: ahcahcahcdc... but the 2nd very vague overlay is sang.. how? Can't figure it out really. Anyone?
Wow, there's some serious debating going on here. This one's better, that one's better. Does it really matter? Imagine for a moment that The Beatles never existed then be thankful they did. It's all about the music. Peace
George Harrison never considered him self a great guitar player but no matter what he was without a talented singer, song writer and guitarist who never bragged about himself in any way so why try to slate his name now he is dead (you should be ashamed of your comments) who do you think you are,George Harrison is a household name, which is something that you will never be.
I think what they did after the beatles speaks the loudest. Harrison did little, and what he did do wasn't all that great. What the idiots on this thread don't know is Harrison didn't do the lead guitar playing on the recording, it was Eric Clapton. Eric actually had to teach him how to play it so he could later play it live. So, that's another one for Clapton. Anyone that thinks Harrison was a great guitar player is a deaf idiot. Hell, Clapton was drugged out at the time, and still... well....
@tootall11211 Facts are funny, aren't they? Clapton is a great guitarist, I'll agree...but Harrison wrote the song. If we talk about success after the Beatles, your facts are mistaken as Harrison probably had the most commercial success of all the original members. McCartney and Lennon both went to music sporadically after band. While they both had some notable hits, there was little in the way of volume success.
@SiliconSicilian Hmm, you're gonna have to show me that. The sheer volume of work, both in the studio and on tour, doesn't seem to bear you out. Harrison a commercial success? Well, maybe because he was a Beatle, but I don't remember him doing all that much. How do you judge that? Number of records sold, number put out, most sold out shows? All of those? I don't think the facts will bear that out.
@tootall11211 To my knowledge, he is the only solo Beatle to have a platinum record. He was in the studio more than John or Paul who both took breaks from the music industry after their first solo albums. I don't refute that the other Beatles are great; I just don't see how you can claim that George was not. The guy mastered Raunchy by his mid teens and learned the Sitar while on a meditation retreat with the Beatles in Southeast Asia, on drugs.
@SiliconSicilian I think you're missing my point. A platinum record means it sold a lot. That in and of itself is no indicator of quality, or ability. You missed what I said, the amount of work put out by George after the Beatles in no way comes near the amount of work put out by Paul. George didn't tour much, McCartney had Wings, which is where I think he did some of his best work, but that's subjective.
@tootall11211 The amounts are not equal, quality could be debated to no end, that's subjective. The amount put out is quantifiable. How many songs and or albums did George put out? How many did Paul do? Of course, now has the advantage of staying around longer to do more, but just compare the same time frames. You do the research, I don't have time, but until you have definitive proof, I'll stand by my earlier statement.
