There was no rumors about Nancy Benoit dying u dumb fuck. It was reported that Benoit did not make it to the PPV event because of a family issue. Once they were found dead, it was rumored that it was Carbon Monoxide poisoning that killed them and the detail was sketchy, but long before they were found dead, someone posted that Nancy Benoit was already dead around the day she was murdered. The IP Address came from Stamford CT, but it was never known who exactly the person was.

It was obviously something major, so OBVIOUSLY some people could have jumped to the conclusion that Nancy died.
