Amway likes to tell you about their product sales, but the only way for you to make money is through "distribution" or more accurately, recruitment.
Recruiting more people into your "downline", getting them to shell out more and more money for instructional tapes and books, and encouraging them to buy as many Amway products as possible (Thereby getting you a small bonus on what they buy) are the only ways to avoid losing money.
It's a predatory scheme that should have been shut down long ago.
Ive done Amway, it is hard to sell these products, no one really wants them, or wants to bother with them. And then you have to sell them over and over again each month to the person. It did not work out too well for me. lol, I believe that the reason they are a leader in skin care/ make up (and possibly many of their other products) is because they make all their associates buy their products! (I know they do from my personal experience... they can be quite forceful about it) So all those people from "around the world" buying skin care products... many of them are the same people who are selling them! Seems sort of deceptive to me... but then again, I have experienced much deceptiveness from Amway :-(

You realize that when you buy your own Away products and they send you a cheque, you are only receiving back a portion of what you already spent...

My source is the "small print" stats at the end of an Amway commercial. Unfortunately they seem they cut this off on YouTube versions.
Well... I can get to earn up to 65% of the profit, and the rest 35% just for the corporation. I can get rich with Amway... but that is very fortunately a personal choice. Otherwise I can just let life take it's course and stay with Wal-mart the money sucking mole.
I'm sorry that you have experienced so much deception, but I can assure you that there are business teams that honor individuality and do not force IBOs to buy anything. It is suggested to buy from yourself so that you are familiar with the products you sell, but it is not required. Also, out of 300 million people in America, less than 10% are in Amway. That means a lot more sales go into making Artistry a prestige cosmetic brand than just people buying from themselves.
I am Amway, too and I'm so proud of it. I've helped lots of people with Artistry or Nutrilite. Is a great chance to improve our lives. And I wanna help more and more people:)

lol, I believe that the reason they are a leader in skin care/ make up (and possibly many of their other products) is because they make all their associates buy their products! (I know they do from my personal experience... they can be quite forceful about it) So all those people from "around the world" buying skin care products... many of them are the same people who are selling them! Seems sort of deceptive to me... but then again, I have experienced much deceptiveness from Amway :-(
