  • Ha, youtube has spoken!

  • you are absolutely right

    completely stiff body

I don't know what kind of fake competition this guy went to, but he obviously paid for his 'rank'

it's a very common practice, help 'sponsor' a competition or a group in Asia and voila! you get some meaingless piece of paper saying you have such and such 'rank' from such and such illustrious family in China, oooOOOooo

    garbage

  • I have to agree, no one uses such a small little stick for any staff form of any Asian martial art in this way

and what is with the silly one handed spinning, the little stick looks even sillier when he does that

no form of Yang TaiChi does silly little one handed spins

do a search for "Tai Chi Staff" on Youtube, you can find a ton of much better, more authentic videos than this.

and you will be better off learning from those videos on your own than from this guy in person

  • no sorry, weapon forms I want an actual instructor, don't feel like wanging my head.

  • wait a minute!

what is that tiny, skinny stick you are swinging around?

where's the 'staff' in the 'staff' video?

I don't get it, this makes no sense

this is isn't even a walking stick or cane form, it's even too small for that!

  • yes, this is not a proper staff form of any chinese system I know

also, this is more like a cane or the pointer the teacher uses in grade school, it is DEFINTELY NOT a martial arts staff

I mean, seriously, you are not trying to say this is some sort of "staff" are you?

MAYBE, just maybe, a cane, but not a staff weapon

and if YOU have acheived 'rank' in Taiyuan China at whatever competition, I must say, I do not put much faith in that competition

there are many bogus 'competitions' in Asia

  • It looks bad!

  • When you achieve rank competing in Taiyuan, China at Yang-family sponsored Tai Chi competitions, I'll consider your opinion valid.

  • Haha you tell him!
