are they coming out with a new iPod nano anytime within the next like half-year to a year? i wanna get one like this week b4 i go on vacation, but if a newer generation is coming out within like a year or something like that id rather just use my iPad for my music in the meantime.
ive collected ipods over the years currently have over 20, its rediculous lol selling all and just keeping a ipod touch and getting a new nano mainly because it doesnt have any features, I just want something for music thats small
I've thinking over how Apple could possibly roll out a product that is so much worse than its predecessor, and I've finally decided this is just their way of telling everybody "BUY AN IPOD TOUCH, NANOS ARE HISTORY." Seriously, what the fuck is this? No video recording, no movies, no music videos, no games, scrolling is terrible, fits terribly in your hand... 6th gen nano does LESS than the first one!
So now we can't watch movies , Can't take a HD video just for this F**king touch screen that can turn 360 degrees THANKS ALOT STEVE it's like you're staring from 0 Again!
i hope they bring back the touch wheel in the next gen ._. this thing is just too puny for me, better with an amp stuck on the back but still just too tiny.
If I wanted to take videos I'd buy a video camera
If i wanted speakers I'd buy a stereo
If I wanted an alarm clock I'd buy an alarm clock, or use my cell phone..
But I love iPod for the music and nothing else, that is what it's meant for..and this little tiny spec of a thing is perfect for me. Love it, and in my opinion the best one yet. Like if there are others like me who love iPods solely for the music!!

@Molund its aa mp3 player, a device which has a primary function of playing music. it has a great batterry life, its easy to use and doesnt lagg a simple bit. u dont say to yourself i " i want a device for photography and go buying an ipod, or i need help getting up in the morning, lets go buy an ipod, or i wanna play video games, lets buy and ipod. no this has the main functions of an mp3 and in my oppinion, is amazing, although i prefer the shuffle. x

I found a better nano band then any out there. the icuff. I bought one on wed and got it friday.got the woody edition leather that looks like wood. this band really secures the nano in place.
@MySweetWish I kind of missed the click wheel at first, but when you think about it it's actually better because now you cant break the controls (the click wheel on my last ipod stopped working!!)

i feel bad for the classic now, last current ipod with the click wheel, they probably will bring it back the clickwheel. same thing happened to the shuffle by adding voice over without any buttons but now they brought back the buttons for 2010

This is just sad. Steve Jobs has gone mad, no wonder he called the new generation iPods “Wild.” It’s in-efficient and poorly designed since there is no way you can blind control while on the gym or even on the go. Also, considering the tiny 1.7″ screen, no video playback, no mic and they even removed the camera, there’s nothing much you can do with it. It’s not even worthy of being called nano since it has the shuffle features and form factor…tFAILURE!!!
I got a strap to wear one as a watch whip out some headphones from my handbag and bomb bus ride music, I know it doesnt do video which sucks but heck I want a bloody good mp3 player, my phone has a camera in and is big and bulky in a mp3 I want it light and for it to clip on my coat on my way to work or walking the dog.
BUY IT and TRY IT before you slap it down its better than everyone makes out and since nearly all phones have a camera and this new ipod is so fun why not just love it! I do!
this is perfect for pumping iron as it clips on to your shirt . also you can see the songs you are playing this is great but the price is overdoing it though.

I have just gotten one of these and it is brilliant. I believe that all of you people who are leaving negative comments about the new ipod nano probably want one but can't because you just bough one the older ones. Both are brilliant and I applaud Apple for upgrading and thinking outside the square!!! :)

Personally I could care less about video and Pics on an Ipod nano the screen is too small 4 that, besides thats what a cell phone and camera are for. This is an iPod shuffle with a touch screen pretty much now. The iPod touch is taking the Nano's place, and the Nano is taking the Shuffle's place. Shuffle died and his big brother the nano is taking his place.
This iPod is cool. Screw the camera, you could only take videos with it, which was VERY retarded. Makes me wonder how many retards are in the Apple Corporation. Also, the last one was too big, and broke easily.

Yes, it is like the shuffle, but the one thing i didnt like about the suffle is the fact that it was hard to locate specific songs to listen to: all you can do was put it on shuffle and see what comes up. Well problem solved!

2. Who watches movies on ipods anyway? I never use the video mode on my ipod nano. I only use it for gym, bus and walking. The old nano used to be a bit awkward as sometimes I wouldn't have a pocket or it would fall out of my pocket while working out. Now it can be clipped anywhere and its so convienient on the bus as you don't have to

i never used video on my zune before i broke it (dropped it way to many times). i might get this just because i use mp3's strictly for jogging or sneaking music in class.

This is just sad. Steve Jobs has gone mad, no wonder he called the new generation iPods “Wild.” It’s in-efficient and poorly designed since there is no way you can blind control while on the gym or even on the go. Also, considering the tiny 1.7″ screen, no video playback, no mic and they even removed the camera, there’s nothing much you can do with it. It’s not even worthy of being called nano since it has the shuffle features and form factor…tFAILURE!!!

I got a strap to wear one as a watch whip out some headphones from my handbag and bomb bus ride music, I know it doesnt do video which sucks but heck I want a bloody good mp3 player, my phone has a camera in and is big and bulky in a mp3 I want it light and for it to clip on my coat on my way to work or walking the dog.
BUY IT and TRY IT before you slap it down its better than everyone makes out and since nearly all phones have a camera and this new ipod is so fun why not just love it! I do!

this is perfect for pumping iron as it clips on to your shirt . also you can see the songs you are playing this is great but the price is overdoing it though.

doesnt play video,,doesnt have a camera...and worst off all..you have to look a at it to change a song...i'm used to have it in the car and while i'm jogging..the good thing about the old ipod nano was that i didnt need to look at it to change the song..i just clicked on the right side of the click wheel, that was the cool thig about it...if i wanted a touch screen ipod i would've bout the ipod touch....the special thing about the nano was that the simpleness....i dont what this new thing is....

I have just gotten one of these and it is brilliant. I believe that all of you people who are leaving negative comments about the new ipod nano probably want one but can't because you just bough one the older ones. Both are brilliant and I applaud Apple for upgrading and thinking outside the square!!! :)
Also you negative people are spoiling it for others and giving the ipod a bad name when you haven't used it yet. If you want an ipod with everything thats what the ipod touch is there for.

Personally I could care less about video and Pics on an Ipod nano the screen is too small 4 that, besides thats what a cell phone and camera are for. As long as it plays good quality music and other audio and you don't have to seach and search for what I want, like I do on my crappy mp3 I have now then who cares. I mean really dose everything have to have a camera these days.

You walk along the street listening to your nano 6th gen, and you wanna change the song. so you have to unlock it, take it out of your pocket, touch the screen to light it up, and press the >> for a new song.

Who complains the the nanos are too big? They're PERFECT size. If you want small, get the shuffle, if you want bigger, get the classic or touch.
The nano is supposed to be the median for iPods. They completely screwed this one up.

This is an iPod shuffle with a touch screen pretty much now. The iPod touch is taking the Nano's place, and the Nano is taking the Shuffle's place. Shuffle died and his big brother the nano is taking his place.
This iPod is cool. Screw the camera, you could only take videos with it, which was VERY retarded. Makes me wonder how many retards are in the Apple Corporation. Also, the last one was too big, and broke easily.
this is a nice upgrade, click pads were annoying as fucking hell!

IDK WHY EVERYONE IS ARGUING OVER THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE EVERYONES STYLE IS DIFFERENT THATS REALLY THE POINT OF MANY VARIATION OF THE IPOD. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT THATS FINE BUT I LIKE IT MYSELF ITS CONVENIENT. I WANT TO LISTEN TO MUSIC FOR WALKING, WHILE IM ON THE BUS, OR AT THE GYM. IT CLIPS ON ANYWHERE SO I DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE EAR PHONES POPPING OUT WHILE IM LISTENING TO IT. THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD OF MADE IT BETTER IS IF THEY WOULD OF ADDED A CONTROL FOR THE EAR PHONES.

Yes, it is like the shuffle, but the one thing i didnt like about the suffle is the fact that it was hard to locate specific songs to listen to: all you can do was put it on shuffle and see what comes up. Well problem solved!

1. Who would use the camera on their ipod anyway? Don't you already have one on your phone and another specialised for taking pictures?!
2. Who watches movies on ipods anyway? I never use the video mode on my ipod nano. I only use it for gym, bus and walking. The old nano used to be a bit awkward as sometimes I wouldn't have a pocket or it would fall out of my pocket while working out. Now it can be clipped anywhere and its so convienient on the bus as you don't have to
