I was 17 when i saw this on TV in '74, that girl IS very hot... the scene where Andy makes a boilermaker with tequila instead of "boybon" is priceless... made me want to buy a dirtbike and go to baja, looked like a lot of fun (except for homicidal Andy of course)...

Wow. Bob Reed. forgot he was in this. and can't remember the other guys name. i know i'd seen him in a bunch of movie parts in the 70's. what was he most famous for ( guy with the 'Fro'! lol!) something to do with playing a Religious dude in some TV movie or something..........and of course, Shatner and Griffith. i remember watching this on Television when it came out. i couldn't have been more that about 12 or 14 at the time.

Good ole cousin Andy's showing he is up for stealing "home plate" for sure! That's right, first batter up, and everyone else can just go sit on tha bench and wait till the seventh inning stretch!! He and I are of the same hot and proud NC / VA mountains English - Irish -Scotch -Cherokee blend of genetics .....family lines that have crossed a few times.. Just wish he'd had more "Jack Nicholson- Robert DiNiro " type roles like this one to act in.

I think that was Andy Griffith's character who rode his motorcycle off a cliff. I was about 5 also when I saw this movie and I too still remember it.

I was 15 when I saw Andy take the fatal plunge from the cliff. At about the same time, I saw another movie where a guy rides a motorcycle off of a 250-foot cliff, there's a fiery explosion, and yet.....HE SURVIVES!---ending up with just a black eye and a band-aid on his cheek.....those '70s movies!!!
