The Indian in me is so minute (1/8) that I never bring it up, but I am nonetheless proud of it. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say what was done to the people of this great land, was beyond atrocious, but the only thing we can hope for is forgiveness and to live together as brothers.

I love the Native Americans, I really do. Their culture, their music, their beliefs, I have a great respect for it. But the past is past, and the white man has learned to better himself and accept other people. Not all white people are bad; personally, that's a stereotype within itself, that we are all fat and evil and trying to take over the world.

I have nothing against the Native Americans. I love and respect the Natives, but there are some (like the the guy I just replied to) who still think we are trying to give them Smallpox through blankets.

@notmrbill One example of what you (white poeple) have done to us recently only happened in 1970, George Bush Senior had any native american women sterilized if they went to a doctor for a basic 'checkup'. Another example could be that the fact that now we as Native Americans might not have duel citizenship across North America, even though it is a HUGE right of ours (Natives) since the treaties were written.

I hold my ancestors in very high reverence, and even if it was my ancestors, (I'm not sure it was, my dad's parents are both born and raised in Hungary, my mom was adopted so I have no idea about her background) I still don't blame them for what they did, simply because they are my ancestors, the same blood as me.
