  • If you live in the USA you will need a FAA licence. If you have a disability which effects your ability to fly solo or to pass the class 2. The CAA has developed a UK NPPL which allows those which would otherwise fail the medial. To fly solo as PIC or with a safety pilot.

Those that spend stupid amounts of cash on flash cars lose the opportunity to become a pilot and fly to destinations faster than a porche 110knots or 130 mph. 5 K well spent for me, another 25k will give me an airline career

  • For the price of a used car you can, 5k maximum for a private pilots licence.

As long as you satisfy the CAA and JAR requirements (passing your class 2 medical), you can meet up with your instructor each week/month depending and fly through your modules.

You can also save 2k ,complete it within a month in one go by taking your PPL in the USA.

By taking additional ratings (night/multi engine, instrument rating) you can gradually build up enough experience to apply for a career in flying.
