  • where are the hardpoints for external stores? a gun pod would suffice for start

  • I'm impressed on how cheap they're making this

  • This is a profound video. My life can never be the same now.

  • 1 ASSHOLE disliked this... probably thought dis I like...

  • I own one of these artistic marvels of aeronautic engineering. For a modest price of 130,000, not much more than a shiny new higher-end Mercedes, 3/4 of the Earth truly does become your runway. Very light and sturdy, also it looks like a remote control plane I used to own, which is awesome. I town my A5 around whenever I can because it is a joy to fly anywhere there is a strip or enough water.

  • @purplehayabusa damn, u rlly own one? i wana see a video, can u make one? plz

  • You just did it! You reinvented - FLYING !

  • This Aircraft needs a Turbo Prop engine and pressurized cabin and drop tanks

  • DEAR SANTA...... :)

  • what song is this?

  • really nice video. looks amazing.

  • That is so cool

  • gosh..this makes my citabria look like crap. LOL

  • This airplane has been done many times. There are many problems with this type of design. The list is long. I opened up Utah to seaplanes after 15 years of the SPA trying to get access. HOW? The ICON would not pass muster. The hull design is NOT right, it does not have proper access and safety issues covered. Been there done that.

I called the sales rep and offered to work with them... Not interested.

I do say they are very good marketers. The product will kill. Certain...

  • @seaplaneguy1 They can market it to pilots like john denver or Steve Wozniak.

  • @websuspect Did you read John Denver's crash report? I did some research...got his head literally taken off by the canard. Denver would have been alive if he did the same thing in my seaplane pictured. I took 3 months out years ago and read most of the NTSB crash reports. Most are blamed on pilot error, but most are actually bad design. Go to Twitter @seaplaneguy and I go over several flaws to the ICON. Time is on my side....

  • A cool looking plane and some pretty video footage, but this thing has been in the works for years and now info is just not coming out on it. One wonders why. Is the company still in business?

  • Kirk,

Is it possible to visit the shop?

  • i need the name of that soundtrack!

  • 0.47 you can see a prime gopro hero camera out on the boom

  • Music?

  • if they can add hellfire missiles hydra rockets and a 30 mm cannon with explosive rounds im sold

  • @casualtybeats I'll settle for a death ray.

  • deadmau5 is a homosex

  • oh fuck yea

  • deadmau5 told me to

  • deadmau5 sent you here

  • il go halfers with deadmau5 ?

  • Like if DeadMau5 brought you here!

  • It's not suprising that the large percentage of their customers are non pilots. To a non-pilot the plane looks dam cool & to existing pilots, it looks dam cool too, but we understand there is more choice, & better weight based performance out there, & more bang for your buck I guess. I'd still have one though if it was given to me LOL.

  • Yeah it's pretty. The main reason for the pusher prop (other than visibility), is that it works best when using a one piece fuse/cabin & water hull configuration. Also keeps the power train hi and dry. Not much weight advantage, if anything, it's a heavier design. This aircraft's main issue atm is keeping it under LSA weight restrictions. It'a not a new concept by any means, there's currently plenty of LSA amphibian aircraft to choose from that perform as well as, or even better than this machi

  • Personally, i've never found the prop blur to inhibit vision at all. It's moving at over 2000rpm in flight, typical cruise is 2200-2400 RPM in the Cessna's I fly. I can pick up airplanes over 10 miles away through the prop disc. Pusher's in this case make a lot of sense though. It's a weight restriction thing.

This looks like a superb aircraft. If I had the money ...

BTW, does anyone know where they got the music for this, or is a custom job?

  • I would love to have an ICON !

  • never really thought about it but one nice advantage of having a push prop is you don't have that circular blur interfering with your sight with a typical nose prop

love what you're doing! makes me want to go flying again

  • Beyond Cool. I want one
