  • Is this track released on a CD? I couldnt find it on the homepage.

  • Breathtaking. Unbelievably good. Powerfull and full of expression.. I am fascinated

  • 12 people got ganked on this stage

  • MOAR BASS!!!

    = (

  • This is pretty sweet. I just wish the bass guitar really stood out the way it does in the original. All of the bass guitar parts from that series are so freaking awesome.

  • Cried during this battle? I dunno about that but I was certianly excited to no end. I must have won this game a thousand times by now.

  • Beautifull perf, i tell it as a musician

  • I can't be the only one who cried during this fight as a child.

  • This is ENDLESS LOVE.

  • This is an amazing rendition of that cool Secret of Mana final boss music. Love It!...

  • bassist needs to be more pronounced though.

  • two giant thumbs

  • MY BODY IS READY!

  • We´ve got 11 Tantalus here, who can´t see epicness when it´s right in front of them!

  • @famousguest

Well how should they, they died right before this epic piece of music came into play. :p

  • Ow my god... this was so godly... i seriously cried... i'm heading straight over to the store!

  • Johnny's got nothin' on this guy.

  • After some reflection...I realized...

The Mana Beast is almost certainly either Flammie herself, OR composed of Flammie.

Because... Mana Beast is described as an unimaginably powerful being made by "every" magical creature in the world.

    That....includes Flammie.

  • @DragonclawExia

    I cried when I had to kill Flammie :( - i was like 9 at the time but..still.. ...

    never saw it coming!

  • @Rossk The Mana Beast--if you read the dialog carefully--is described as "a Flammie," not your Flammie. That is, the Mana Beast is of the same or similar species, but not the same individual animal that's been your companion since the torching of the Emperor's Castle. It is sensible, of course, to assume that with the disappearance of Mana in our world that Flammie indeed is lost to us, but like the Sprite is not dead, neither is Flammie. Rather, it is simply elsewhere beyond our cognition.

  • @UEAdmiral

blimey//thank you for that...these past..... 14 odd years I thought I had killed Flammie ! and was so sad about the ending/...im somewhat relieved after all this time to learn the truth :) Thank you !

  • For a minute there, I imagined his violin to be on fire.

  • this drummer is just SICK

  • 11 people cant finish the last boss :)

  • how come from about 2:43 to 2:52 I heard the BGM from Knight of Valor 2 during the battle with Sun Quan on Stage 5?

  • Secret Of Mana rOckzz \m/ .. !!

  • Have the people bashing the drummer every actually played the drums? That drummer couldn't possible tone it down anymore. His hand is barely "twitching" Go hit the snare on a drum kit. It's fucking loud. High hats and toms can be aswell. The problem wasn't the drummer, it was the guy running the sound booth.

  • love love love this piece, i only play that game for the music

  • This violin piece is what Johnny played for an encore after the Devil gave him the golden fiddle.

  • is there anything the chinese arent good at besdies not having kids ??

  • @skyestheword

Lol, Hiroki Kukuta is a Japanese name man and there's 1.3 billion Han Chinese on this planet WITH state birth control since 1978.

  • The male guitar play is just GODLY!

  • brilliant, but the drummer is playing way too over the music, when he should have been playing under the music.

This is the problem a lot of drummers have. Other instrument players always think when they should be showing off and when they should be playing supportively, but a lot of drummers just don't have this switch.

  • @futaomi whatever dude, im a drummer. look at the venue. a drummer can only take it down so far before you lose the ability to have good technique. the camera could be not facing the monitors or it could be a crappy mic on the camera that picks up mids better. or the guy balancing the mics put the other instruments too low. watch the drummer, hes not wailing, i doubt he could take it down anymore....

  • @futaomi This is a matter of audio engineering, not musician skill.

  • 11 people who got raped by MANA DRAGON!!!

  • so nostalgic

  • 11 people doesn`t had a snes and were domed

  • thx for this video, i loved Som and i still play to it, i kept my snes ony for this game. This final song behind demo mana is just magic. I enjoyed to see this kind of performance very nostalgic moment.

  • added to favorites :)

  • violin is a difficult instrument to master

  • This is beautiful...... ahh the memories. Who needs next-gen, super realistic 3D graphics?? Seiken is a GREAT series!

  • lmao, t5here always has to be a white guy some where ^^, guitar

  • Yea I can't hear the bass either I don't think it's your speakers.

  • @roshidon I can hear it with my subwoofer...but very vaguely.

  • Some of the bass parts in the original are terrifying. Unfortunately I can't hear him well enough to tell how he's handling it.

  • They just don't compose video game music like they used to. The most current game where I absolutely loved the music was Chrono Cross... Also, too bad this song was sooo much more epic than the final battle itself. Dark Lich was the actual final boss from what I'm concerned!

  • That was awesome!

  • Is the male violinst, Hiroaki Yura?

  • @Sovincin yea. Awesome, isn't he??

  • Where can I buy an mp3 of this song? I don't see that option on any of the links.

  • This is so beautiful, These guys are very talented.

  • The percussion was this clear in the actual game music as well, so it's only more of a good thing to hear it this clearly. Brilliant piece of work, all of them together. ♥

  • I frigin love this and watch it again and again, and every time question myself that the bassist hits a seriously avoidable complete bum note. Has anyone else heard this?

  • @VonGizzle

I can't hear him well enough to tell. =(

    I think it's these speakers...

  • @VonGizzle

Actually, I heard it this time round! Yeah it sounds like he was a semitone flat on one note. Kind of made it sound bluesy. Bluesy and wrong.

  • I don't get why everyone is hating on the percussion...hes going a kicka&& time keeping tempo, because on a song like this, it's VERY easy to slow down too much.

If it is the volume of the percussion, I'd say its about alright...any quieter and it wouldn't have the drive feel to it and would just end up sounding mellow. If you also check out the original song, the percussion overpowers the rest of the song more than it does in this rendition anyways.

  • @fastweirdo: I totally agree with you... like this, it is just sooooo amazing... I got no more words for such an awesomeness

  • awwwwsssomeeeeeeeeeee

  • This is everything a final boss theme should be.. gripping, epic, intense and melodramatic throughout. Really making it clear that 'this is it, no return'.

  • cool!

  • i got 11 more enemys

  • amazing<3

  • 1:15...

  • @Sturmtreiben [x]

  • the only thing that could've made this a better performance is if the acoustic and electric guitars were used!! :D

  • hahah, this makes me happy, fond memories

  • ozzy osbourne on guitars!

  • @ChronoPhoenix bass

  • lOl the male violinist wasn't wearing a blindfold i think. its a mask. But even if he isn't blindfolded he's still good XD sry if i'm wrong in the blindfold thingy >< (respond for pass comments ^^) love this btw XD

  • @icyxicyx He's wearing sunglasses, actually. I think he's dressed up to look like Nicholas D Wolfwood. :D

  • I was like OoO soooooooooo GOOD!

  • I can never decide which of the two common translations of the song title I like better -- "Meridian Dance" or "Prayer of the Article Circle." (I suppose it could also be, "Meridian Prayer," etc.) Same thing with the music that plays before you battle the Mana Beast -- it's known both as "This Sole Wish" and "One of Them is Hope" (the latter reminds me of the conversation between Terra, Banon, and the otheres in FFVI at the Returners' Headquarters).

  • This is a wonderful song, I'm so happy they were able to do it justice.

  • ベースの方、7弦でチョッパーきかしてメロディ効かせて欲しい

  • @keishinosuke ベースの方?

  • tears to my eyes

  • This is amazing. These guys just brought me so much Nostalgia. 10 years old fighting Flammie. Hmmm.

  • @auroninja Same here!

  • AHHHHHHHHHHH AMAZINGGGGG

    Only words, only words =-D

  • the bass player is awesome :D

  • The violin players are so talented but the male one is better

  • Awesome indeed! Loved this game. Still play it through from time to time with friends.

  • And to think the last boss song from Seiken densetsu 3 is even last boss song from Seiken densetsu 3 is even better!

  • Buenisima ^^

  • wow these people are behind the secret of mana music LOL.

After 15 years or something later I find out who and what they look like. Kinda cool.

I miss secret of mana - snes - RPGS. I stopped rpgs cos now they arent as good as the old days.

  • @razehey no its only a orchestra.. don't know who made the music of secret of mana but they wasnt.. Yuki Kajiura made a lot of music (like for gundam seed) but not for secred of mana. And I dont know for sure but i think she is the woman in the white dress. (she is often named in the title of eminence videos)

  • @dnlherbst thx buddy

  • Man, I'm the only one who thinks that the male violin guy is fucking cool !? o_O' almost makes me want to learn how to play violin XD, Even knowing that I don't have time or will to do so. pretty good orchestra, I really like their songs ~

    B R G

  • oh my god. this is soo good. awesome guys.

  • @Sturmtreiben a great moment. when i hear that part i think of me and my older bro as rivals fighting in slo motion since we both were extremely good at secret of mana.

  • thats beautiful music.. mhm...

  • This was the game that introduced me to RPG's. The story is a classic too. And musically, it took you to a... whole.... nother....LEVEL

  • @BboyDuendeMC Same, first game i can remember playing, honestly. I remember having my older brother read me what was going on, and play with me on 2player... I was only 4 when we beat this game, my older brother, 7... =( i miss it

  • @sephrinx I have a simillar memory about the game too. My older brother and I would play the game but he was the hero while I was the sprite with magic. Man did that kick ass...

  • @BboyDuendeMC

It was my first RPG, too. I still remember all the time I spent trying to find my way around the caves in Gaia's Navel, lol. Man, that must have been about 11 years ago by now.

    I miss those days.

  • Yes! Yes! *jumps up and down* Recognition for my favorite SNES game in my collection!

  • the male is obviously more talented

  • Actually they're both extrordinarily talented. Hiro (as you so eloquently put it, "the male") just has more performer pizaz with really hypnotic head nodding and little twitches that is catchy with the music that makes him entertaining to watch as well as listen to.

  • 1:15, moment of my life.

  • *tears* this is one of my favorite games, to hear the music played like this just...well you cant put it into words I guess. Would love to see them live.

  • @JynxBlack I know exactly what you mean.

  • Great orchestra!!! its just awesome!!!!!

  • Eminence is my all time favorite Orchestra

  • That breakdown is just epic at 1:00.

  • Epic memorys...

    ... epic recreated.

    Thanks - whoever you are.

    ^^

  • These two violinists are by the BEST that I have ever heard! However, I heard the guy mess up a few times...=( Oh well, I don't exactly blame him... This song is an EXTREAMLY hard piece.

  • I'm going to make the unprecedented assumption that you are not a violinist. Or a musician.

  • Actually, I used to play violin, but it wasn't for me so I went to oboe instead. -.-

But, you don't have to be a musician or know how to play the song to realize that this piece is hard to play.

Just listening to the song is good enough. -_-

  • The male violin player is just GODLY!

  • @soulvivi

    Of course...he's from Japan^^

  • @soulvivi i think he is the only one who feels the song right.

  • @soulvivi

    His name is Hiroaki Yura.

  • @soulvivi Ofc hes asian

  • @WatjeWat

Woah, you're right. It's amazing how the gene for skin colour can also code for an individual's talents, hey? It's not as if he put ANY time or effort into learning the violin.

  • GREAT wow truly nice done !

  • great!!

  • The drums are way too slow

    But still great interpretation!

    5/5

  • OHHHH MYYYYY GOOOODDDDD!!!!

  • I LOVE IT ILOVE IT!

  • i got tears in my eyes listening.

i loved the ending boss theme its really powerful.

  • In love.

  • What is the dude wearing?

  • his eyeglasses

  • I think his glasses :O People see a blindfold though

  • My favorite game for music by a long shot. Every reproduction I hear from it seems to bring a tear to my eye.

  • Sorry you are wrong they sound similar but this one is "Meridian Dance"

  • youre wrong ... ThIS is meridian dance

  • Wrong... Meridian Child is a dramatic sad theme, Nuclear is a regular boss music, Meridian DANCE, is the final boss' theme.

  • Never heard perfection in music until now.

  • Are those really blindfolds? Near the beginning 0:03, it looks like he puts on his glasses.

  • It might be, I find it better myself to play with one too because it makes the player much more intuitive

  • is the the guy in the suit playing the violin wearing a blindfold

  • He didn't wrap it around his head. He put them on like glasses. Plus you can see him arrange some sheet music.

  • I Love this!!

    great *.*

    very nice music..!

  • Sorry we can hear too much drums!

  • the mix is perfect

  • truer words have never been spoken from someone who has never attempted to record anything live.

    idiot.

  • fag06........

    enough said

  • enough allready...

  • the violin guy look just like Len in la corda d'ro primo passo

  • 2:42 so the second girl in the piano is just there to turn pages of the sheet or what??

  • yeah that her job lol

  • LOL, u're right ;)

  • yup

  • yes often times trying to play and turn pages simultaneously can be difficult, at least without interrupting the flow.

Even some virtuoso's utilize an aid when playing in a band or orchestra because it helps the stay synchronized and on beat.

    Hope that explains a lil'.

  • Comment removed

  • Oooo that pianist is really good to keep up with the violinist.

  • that what scare me o-e it look like her hand frigen vibrate

  • calm down percussion section

  • damn doing it blindfolded. Is it for less distraction? Anyhow its impressive

  • DAMN!!! he is doing it BLINDFOLDED!!!

  • that violin guy.... holy shit!

  • great job just greatt

  • Holy shit!

  • man i was missing the choir from 1:56 to where it loops. this was very well put together, if a little poorly recorded. that bass needs to stand out much more.

  • franchement les gars.....trop bons!

  • Not bad. The timing is really off in a few places. And, the bass needs to be WAY up, not to mention playing the right bassline.

  • In orchestra, the conductor takes existing music and he directs the musicians to perform his own interpretation of the music. That's the way it is. Eminence is turning 16-bit midis into orchestral compositions. Give them some credit.

  • Do you mean that the video is not synchronized with the audio, or that the actual violinists are making errors in their performance?

  • Nicely done. nuff said.

  • Well it is a lot easier as a musician to play a piece like this because they know how it plays and how the melody lays out. Playing it by ear was most likely possible and even though they had the transposed music in front of them, knowing how it was supposed to go allowed them to easily read the sheet music in front of them, seeing as how they already knew what the tempo and instrumentation was like beforehand.

  • The bass seems so quiet in comparison with the violins. I think it should have been more prominent, like in the video game version.

  • If anyone's wondering why the male violinist is so into the song is because he reason he's so into it is because he's Hiroaki Yura, the guy that started Eminence and this is the song that made him want to start this orchestra. Also a side note he's part of the crew making the sound track to Diablo 3 :D

  • Awesome.

  • Cool fact...thanks brah

  • Diablo 3 is going to ROCK.

  • Gotta love musicians like this. This music is so disjointed, REALLY tough to keep together. Remember, this was all programmed midi format on the game! These are SERIOUS musicians.

And I still have Earthbound, with the guide intact :)

  • Yeah, compositions programmed for a computer to play sometimes have a tempo that seems inhumanly possible to play for real. Nice to see them accomplish this.

  • omg amazing, secret of mana is a fantastic game, great music :)

  • this is life

  • I havent played Secret of Mana much and I don't recognize this in the game. Still a marvelous piece nontheless

  • it is the last boss fight against the mana beast.
