  • I finally found somene who uses this font

  • Lanegan has a hell of a voice for blues, perfect. Its not today's generation that's to blame, they are busy making music, look at the live music scene, its very good, at least it is in the UK. That's all you can judge them on, because music has always been a consumable. When that generation gets in charge of the media, then maybe we'll see a change. What we want is a huge mixture of music on the airwaves, not 24/7 hip hop laced with rap.

  • Still listened to your stuff!!! Brings back diff memory for every song!! Thanks for affecting my life!! Music never dies your Legacy will live Forever!!!! Thanx

  • Looks like the cover of one of KT Tunstall's albums,

  • this is album is the shiznit, should have got more attention. so much power and feeliing from the music that came from this era

  • this is album is the shiznit, should have got more attention.

  • I know people are upset of living in the wrong decade and yeah I live in this generation to and don't like it. But I'm not gonna whine about todays music because its not like were forced to listen to it we have a choice to listen to other music, so I listen to the classics and independent bands. You can makes changes. I'm making one, im forming a grunge band, so people can listen and actually hear what music should sound like :).

  • @naru725 forming a grunge band? me too, in fact alot of people around the world are, i wouldnt be surprised if the industry changed 2012 - 2013, or so im guessing, it will need to be a bit different to grunge though if it intends to survive, but music repeats itself anyway so who cares.

  • another place and another time....enough said

  • The vinyl single of this song is on my Christmas wishlist. Great Song!

  • @retrogamerSam I bought this vinyl single recently.

  • i dont understand y more young people dont listen to this... damn black people taking over with their hip hop... hahaha just kidding ... kinda

  • I was born in the wrong goddamned decade - rock music needs to come back!

  • @TrueNeutral187

you suck, there is enough rock music today! you don't believe me? well I suppose you like screaming trees. The singer of this band has gone great solo work in this decade, pearl jam is still alive the peppers are many great bands still are (rolling stones/led zeppelin) but there are tons of new bands which are worth listening so stop whining and start listening

  • @TrueNeutral187

lots of great bands are still alive, mark lenegan has great solo stuff (rec. in this decade) many great bands now worth listening... maybe you should stop whining about old music is only good music. every era has good music, you just need to find it...

  • @k0ekjebakker Thanks for making a billion wrong assumptions about me from a single sentence post. I know there are holdovers from another era, but they and also any good rock music released today doesn't get enough recognition anymore. For every time Broken Social Scene is played on the radio, The Strokes are played a hundred times. Rock music is in a terrible place right now, and it needs to get back to its place at the top like it was during the grunge era because I missed that great period.

  • @TrueNeutral187

That;s something I can agree on! :D but back then there was also alot of other more poppy songs in the charts,

  • Just now diving down past the chains and pearls and temples and gardens into what else Seattle had to offer. One gem I found was Apple, MLB's only album. Fucking awesome. And I think Screaming Trees is a new gem.

  • toorn liike ann oold...dollarr bill...

  • se la robaron a los scouts de sanpioX. gracias vida...

  • I see clearly, I havn't seen angels for so long :(

  • one of the best songs off their Sweet Oblivion album

  • it reminds me so much of Indian Summer by the Doors

  • we played this loud at the end of our high school graduation.back in 94.most natural high of my life.

  • My favorite trees song

  • Grunge is beautiful..

  • your stupid

  • @dannyblazer420

    noooooooo..... u r

  • all their songs were hits with the good n true fans... better being underground... more appreciated... legendery... seen them back home here in glasgow scotland.. outstanding mothers from the states.. a bit like the old doors... doesnt get any better than that dudes :) rattus67......

  • honestly i cant belive this song wasnt a hit, i know it did okay but it should hav bin huge

  • it's so fuckin beautiful, I loved the Trees and still do, one of the most underrated bands ever!!! :(

  • Great band that got little airtime because the record companies pushed the stations to play the same ol' crap... Fuck the airwaves and let the net put them out of business, same with the friggin record companies...

  • G A M A T O......

  • Love this album in its entirety. Lyrics, melodies are fanfuckintastic. and that voice so so strong. Listenin to the screaming trees in the seattle days.

  • I have Ocean Of Confusion. However, I was wondering whether their old stuff is any good? Because I found Clairvoyance at a shop for 50p (not kidding :P) and picked it up as I liked OOC. I haven't listened to it yet, but if anyone has any thought, I'd like to hear them.

  • early stuff is better

  • @Blazio95 Their old stuff's good. It's more unpredictable, and not as catchy as their major label stuff, but still excellent in its own right.

Recommendation: Get their SST Anthology. It's got like, 21 songs of their old material.

  • Are The Screaming Trees a good band overall? I mean Dust and Sweet Oblivion are AWESOME, but I'm not sure about their earlier stuff.

  • does anybody else think he sounds a little like Jim Morrison?

  • The comparison doesn't end there, hell I think he kinda looks like him too.

  • lol dude i was totally thinkin the same thing right before i read thiss,

    you rockk man <3

  • Yeah I do too :-) also a similar facial expression. Nowadays he also reminds me a little of Tom Waits

  • Oh yes he sounds like Jim

  • Best band in the world.

Love this song more than life...

  • @Osis1981 Without life, this song would not exist.

  • @BigCanOfBeans Without this song, life would not exist.

  • @CommanderC00L558 that's a point.

  • I'm sad. Thanks for this video. Great song.

  • beautifullll song...!!!!

  • music has alway's been part of the irish pysche and the tree's have proved that.Well done

  • A beautiful torn postcard.

  • I say bring back a Seattle sonic boom- Todays music is so unstimulating and most resembles a strong laxative. Todays generation has committed the worst crime by turning music into another consumable. Shame on them.

  • yaaaa, but its not the young generation its the older fatcats, and with free mp3s its not really a consumable, which the younger generation should be credited for, aswell as youtube.

  • If it wasn't for us old farts, you would not have a computer for you to play with and use sites like You Tube, give some respect to us Baby Boomers who have created everything that you use and wipes your arse today...

  • @toolwerkz who said we dont?

  • Strong laxative, say it like you mean it RAP CRAP & SHIT HOP... I agree today's generation has turned music into noise...

  • @hottaco1 Music is meant to be consumable, just not overproduced fast food style garbage.

  • @hottaco1 you dont get around to many independent rock gigs do you?

dont worry it aint yer fault most towns its practically illegal to have any house shows where those kinds of bands usually play. another bad crime.

  • @hottaco1

If music was not a consumable the bands would make no money. With out money they would not be able to make repairs nor go on tours. No Music is ment to be a consumable.... the stuff that people are obsessed with now is the product of syntetic bull crap talent. Ment for the radio only. Lady gaga, justin bieber, jonas, all those are for the brain washed sad sack of crap we call generation Y.

  • @InvertedBomber

I miss grunge!! :( I miss uncontrolled emotional tunes of merit!!!

Ill get my fix off Monsieur Lanegan in Ireland very soon!! And Mudhoney in all their treacley sweaty stickiness will be over in Ireland too!!

He seem to be doin some trees covers, mainly Traveller but I would really like to hear Gospel Plough and Dollar Bill!! :))

    Kape it kountry!! :))

  • @hottaco1 Dude, born in the wrong decade... It hurts, but maybe it'll change.

    I blame the MTV.

  • @hottaco1 what the hell do you know about being young?

  • @donghostal ...Perhaps she doesn't know a lot about OUR time (we're both the same age, heh), but she once was "young" herself, you know.

  • @HAL0INREVERSE (Damn Youtube. I wish I could just edit comments) And I say "perhaps" because I don't really know what she knows, other than what was mentioned in her first comment. I don't want to be assuming anything.

  • @hottaco1 we're trying to bring it back here, but we haven't got many listeners, but they are great! always supporting us, hope it will continue

  • @hottaco1 posted 3 years ago and its still true this is the last great era of music nothing left is original waterd down stripmalls everywhere dont drink the kool aid

  • Great song, great video

  • La migliore canzone dal miglior disco della migliore band da Seattle (e una delle miglior band di sempre)

  • Physically Lanegan is the grunge version of Dave Mustaine, isn't it?

  • Great song...awsome CD. 14 years later and still listen to it probably once a month...kind of tells you about todays music...It blows :0

  • one of the best albums ever made-bravo!!!

  • You are absolutely right!

  • This band had soul. Better then todays standards of music!!

  • Mark Lanegan is awesome! its a shame that him and Layne Staley never wrote anymore songs together. Best partnership ever.

  • Nice Slideshow man, good job! :)

  • Screaming Trees fuckin ROCK - in obscurity, glory!

  • i think the screaming trees were the best band to come out of the seattle scene, its a frickin shame they didnt get the recognition i feel they so greatly deserved, thier music has meant so much to me through the course of my life thus far, through good and bad times i find different meaning in the songs, its almost the soundtrack of my life, now if they would only come and play in my backyard

  • Lanagan's voice is so special, love Dollar Bill, saw it on the BBC Jools Holland show, bought the CD next day. Been down a lot, been down a long way....Frankie

  • very nice. (:
