LOL Typical response from a typical idiot! I to worked there for a number of years as a Director! I can say this, The land owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet! They are business men and when the land is cleared and it will be! They will give 110% back to the community as they have done everywhere else that they developed. Do your research before you speak! Just because they decided not to keep the place running after Boise sold it off doesn't all the sudden make them bad.
FYI. Boise no longer owns the mills or property. As of 2004 it was sold to Frontier Resources. They had no intentions of keeping it open when they bought it. they wanted the land for a way station for their lumber. These guys are greedy and corrupt. They stopped watering it because it cost them money they thought they didn't need to spend. I worked there for a few years so I know what I'm talking about.
Holy moly! I saw that fire in person too. I went with my friends. It was kinda cool because it caused a glow. We took pictures of it and a video just before a police man kicked us out. We where also by the ledge stone hotel btw. I gotta tell ya that was a once in a life time.
Nice job, Boise... I'm sure that won't drive up the cost of lumber. Couldn't go for some sprinklers like the old days and save the 40,000 trees you just cut down for no reason
