  • 20 people put their back out duplicating this lift

  • how do your wrists feel.. ouch

  • power cleans scare me more than getting punched in the face on the reason that I am afraid of it landing on my knees and breaking both of em

  • I can powerclean 385lbs perfect.

  • @13andincrediblycut <--------lolz at your name

  • soooo if you're saying his form sucks, then you're also saying he could lift a lot more with "better" form.. so i don't know what the big deal is. aaand you're also saying you could only dream of power cleaning 375 pounds. i can get just about half of that.... lol. lifting weights should be about getting stronger, not being mr. perfect at everything and being the strongest guy in the world.

  • thats all? im 13 202lbs of muscle at 6'4" doping free and i can just about do that as well but with perfect form

  • This is the definition of a thrower's clean, I love it. Huge demonstration of power

  • I can't wait to see him pop both of his knees with that wack ass piece of shit technique.

  • @tazmetaphor Humans are not as fragile as idiots like you keep going on about, there are people like magnus magnusson who lifts with shit technique and has done for about 30 years yet he is still one of the strongest guys in the world, so it is probably best to keep your bullshit, dumb, no training ass opinions to yourself and just let the dude lift the weight that you are never even gonna touch

  • @jalidav1 You don't know me dickhead. I'm very much close to that weight. Everyone has a different breaking point. The difference between me and him is that I won't be so fucked up because my technique is perfect. I'm a well rounded fighter with years of experience AND I lift so fuck you and your piece of shit assumptions. Keep your dumb shit to your self.

  • @tazmetaphor Funny how every keyboard warrior is close to superhuman at lifting and well experienced fighters, you are making no friends here you lying piece of shit. go have yourself another burger and find some more workout videos to comment on. retard

  • @jalidav1 -_- your bitch ass again???!! Look man just accept people's comments. I could give you facts about myself all day and who I am but it won't matter cause I know your type. You get easily blinded and narrowminded. You'll think everyone's lying besides the one's that will actually say something positive. Just shut it and move on kid.

  • @tazmetaphor wow you have me convinced, you must be as fantastic as you previously stated.....my hero

  • @jalidav1 There's nothing really fantastic about anyything. If you've been doing something your entire life it's just something normal. Something you like, a lifestyle. I'm not really motivated, it's just a routine that's engrained in me that says, "Oh shit I have to go". A reflex if you will. I wrote this for others who might be reading this since you were being sarcastic.

  • @tazmetaphor ah so now all can basque in your absolute brilliance

  • @jalidav1 -_- stop being an idiot.

  • if you like power clean watch my vid please, 340

  • Why don't you try to front squat it. I'm still learning about the technique so I'm just picking your brain not trying to criticize you.

  • I think maybe if you went a little deeper on the front squat you could put up at least 25 lbs more

  • form is perfect, except his elbows r supposd to stick straight out, but it doesnt matter, cuz 375lbs was easy for him and he held it up with his hands lol, which would be impossible to do if u couldnt handle the weight, but this guy did easily

  • numbers are nice but form not that great

  • HORRIBLE FORM... ALSO, HE CHEATING ON THE PULL AS YOU CAN SEE.. LEARN A BETTER TECHNIQUE..

  • @Vik456 What pull? It's a clean dude... No pull... just power.

That being said, there's a LOT of power in this vid.

  • @Vik456 How the fuck do you even cheat on pull?

  • nice triple extension, no triple extension

  • hahahaha big dog u need to squat

  • much improved technique mate, just need to whip the elbows up as fast as you can when you catch the bar so they are parallel with the bar n then you'll find it rests on the front delts, much more comfortable and less stress on your lower back, awesome power though mate well done :)

  • Form isn't bad except you need to keep your butt back so your back doesn't hyper extend like that and you need to keep your elbows up on the catch.

  • 0:15 another successful lift huh? you need to rest the bar on your shoulders. Look at real Olympic lifters doing this right.

  • Not even a clean ..The bar's suppose to rest on the SHOULDERS not chest

  • that was a damn ugly power clean... technique was awful

  • you do 375

  • @jacobizspivey123 ... I can do 375, I clean 425

  • do you have any videos of the discus?

  • he didnt go parallel this was not a "complete" power clean

  • you don't have to go parallel if you dont have to.. most people do when maxing but it isn't necessary

  • that was ugly..

  • yeah he "bought it" lol

  • Elbows should have been WAY higher rather than in a more press position but a 375 is a 375 so good job (y)

  • thats acually very close to a muscle clean which is even harder than power clean so props to ya!!

  • oof1001 you're dumb as hell

  • u fail!!!! u gotta go into the front squat position!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @oof1001 not always.

  • there is nothing wrong with his form

  • @dltc05ja if he goes into the front squat position it is harder but u get the full workout...the way he does it...i could put my max at about 350 and im 16 yrs old

  • @oof1001 your a dumbass

  • @oof1001 its the opposite

  • what does power cleaning work on?

  • overall body explosiveness. That's the main reason many people consider it the most important lift for football (american).

  • That's was a wide grip for a clean never the less good job.

  • what the hell did you yell after you got it??!

  • Heh. "Bought it"?

  • Wow you're form is a lot better in your newer vids. Congrats on the progress.

  • Yeah i been working on my technique, thanks a lot

  • not terrible

  • fuck thats alot of weight on the wrists

  • could get alot more weight with better form

  • First, clean and jerk 160K snatch 135k. Second, doing bad technique only works up till a certain point. However, I listened closely, and its olympic hopeful for discus not oly lifting, so I have to give this credit. I don't know how much training you do on the oly lifts, but they go great with shot/disc as a training method. However I might argue that the full range of motion of the clean is still important although many coaches only want the explosive power clean. Good job. Put a disc vid up.

  • that was strong!!

not great form for a workout, but for a max its fine as long as u get it up

    good job

  • Thanks bro

  • @naraku127 his max is 400 (insanity)

  • olympic hopeful you have to be shitting me he has garbage ass form

  • What the hell? That wasn't a successful lift, lmao - is this a joke video or something?

  • Considering he lifts for discus, that was a great display of power. Cut him a break.

  • Power clean is todays work out

  • First, not everyone can be huge or even big with effort just like no amount of studying will ever make an einstein for the majority of people. Pause at exactly 10 sec. and you will see he doesn't finish his pull, then double click quickly and you will see he is pulling the bar up with his arms. Then when he catches the bar its on his chest not his shoulders, and he's supporting the weight with his wrists with his elbows down. Also his stance on his catch is way to wide. try to C&J that same wt.

  • @olympicstyles only makes me wonder how much he can really do, cause all the things you listed would limit the amount of weight he can lift

  • i think he can get up like 15 more pounds

  • that was a power clean, and a beastly one at that, it looked like he could have thrown 10 more pounds on and still had it

  • he powercleaned good you guys are stupid for fighting on the internet and he is good..all i wanted to say

  • hes gunna be in the olympics and he doesnt even know how ot power clean correct

  • disagree he powercleaned correctly, the other youtube vids were incorrect, you gotta explode

  • you're 26 years old and don't know how to spell correct, it's all relative....

  • Anyone who can throw that much weight up is a beast... anyone bitching about "proper form" is a bitch who probably can only throw up 150. Guy looks like he could probably front squat the weight anyways so stop bitchin.

  • simply being able to lift a huge amount of weight is no reason to give praise to someone. I'd rather post a good comment to a 120lb. tennis player who's doing perfect technique than a 2000lb. hulk reverse arm curl because not everyone can be huge. Propor technique shows dedication to the sport. Impropor technique leads to people who emulate bad technique on the basis that because it was alot it was good. Theres plenty of literature on the sport if you don't have an oly coach.

  • that is untrue anyone can get big if they dedicate themselves to it.

  • this way of power cleaning should be renamed to the "american high school power clean". no decent coach would teach this method.

  • Everyone should stop moaning about the form, I don't know the perfectly correct form but he just threw 375lbs in the air; i'm sure no one else here can!

  • try to squat the clean

    dont just catch it

  • in power cleans you do NOT squat down... LOL learn what you say.

  • your thinking of hang cleans

  • i'm sure you could power clean 375lbs with perfect form, retard.

  • he never caught it. put it up but didnt sqaure his feet and stood up with it.

  • how can you hate when he completely over-powered that weight? shut the fuck up

  • he's doing the power clean like he has an extra chromosome or something

  • that was the wrong way to lift it.

  • the way the landed was wrong

  • BUT, several things in his defense. He's using the exercise simply as a means of developing more power for his sport, which is discus. Focusing on duplicating the same technical form as an olympic weightlifter is no concern to him, because its not his form being judged, its how far he can throw the discus, and since the catch phase is close to the end of the movement, it has little effect on his power output. Lastly, he catches the bar high because he generated sufficient power to do so.

  • thats a matter of need/preference. During the second pull, hips/knees extend, and feet plantar-flex (even if they dont leave the ground), due to the load. I think most people agree that everything is pretty damn good up until the catch phase. Compared to olympic catch phase form, his base is too wide, the bar should be resting across his clavicles/delts, elbows should be pointing out, and he should have incorporated a front squat into the movement.

  • I had to clear some things up here. Everyone stop the video at 10 sec. What do you see? Eyes forward, head in neutral position, chest up, shoulders back, back is set, hands right outside the knees, heels on the floor. Great starting form. When he initiates the pull, bar travels up the shins and as close to the body as possible. Back angle remains the same through the first pull. When he transitions into the scoop, its not as pronounced as many olympic lifters, but

  • form is okay for a discus thrower. The only thing is he should learn to rotate the elbows under the bar to rack the weight on the shoulders to take the pressure off the wrists.

  • it was ok, the start position was alright and his pull was good, his elbows were just slower than the bar

  • im sorry for shitting on this youtube video... but that isn't a power clean at all... I clean 365 with a full front squat and a strong hold at the end. NEVER will he here the buzzer or official say good lift with that demenstration. he might be strong enough to get it up but hes not strong enough to hold it up... mine will be up by the end of summer

  • Your right about one thing..you are sorry. This absolutely is a power clean though his catch positiong needs work. You power clean 365 in a full front squat?? You dumb ass thats a squat or olympic style clean so do your homework. Power clean ends in a QUARTER SQUAT!!! Thats what seperates it from an olympic style clean. As an athlete he is only concerned with pulling it through the power zone..to develop POWER. Fucking toolbag.

  • Thats called a squat clean dumbass

  • Squat clean?? anything thats called a squat clean is called a Full Clean.

and plus the guy in the video didnt even go down.. did u watch carefully? he didn't even squat at all.

    he exploded up...

and this is called a Power Clean and he showed excellent form.

P.S. all you haters out there are just jealous people who cant Power Clean as much as this guy, so you make up an excuse for what he does

  • well said, thanks bro

  • @dario2004

Actually apologies guys, I wasn't referring to the vid, but a comment someone posted eariler about how he is better than this and can go into a full squat position - hence not a power clean - I didn't mean the original vid.

Youtube hasn't linked my reply to the post I wanted it to

  • disagree, alot of youtube vids show squat cleans but this is how you powerclean

  • who gives a fuck if his form is a little off hes still strong as fuck. people need to stop shitting on youtube videos of weight they couldnt move

  • Where's the vid of the 390 at?

  • incorrect clean form, that is the kind of clean they teach you in 9th grade football. keep doin those an heel b in a wheelchair in a few years.

  • .. why is that? Everything looked good to me except the rack but that doesn't really matter.

  • Thas a lot of weight but If he would have kept that weight up where it's suppose to be the weight would have buckled under em! Try it again guy with a 2 second hold then that will count!

  • He has since lifted 390 with beautiful form. There is a video of that.

  • Comment removed

  • If you'd actually listened he say's olympic hopefully in the discus. His clean form has nothing to do with that, although i agree it's very poor.

  • he'll never get in the olympics with that form. That isnt even a full clean

  • Good enough for me. Not everyone has the resources to be taught the best form in America. Dudes a strong mutha fucka. People just hating because they cant lift half that.

  • put it this way THAT WAS HUGE and if he had better form he could do more weight ....

  • all the people commenting on his form, it must be good enough if he's gotten up to 375 in power clean and isn't injured

  • strong kid, terrible receiving form tho

  • 400 500? lol. 525 is world record.i think.

  • The clean and jerk record is held by Hossein Rezazadeh of Iran, at 581 lbs. So no.

  • this guy sucks....prolly the worst form possible

  • waaaa the fuck is this... it's like a powerscreamclean

  • it doesnt keep it there for mor than a half second

  • damn. to all u fags saying it's bad form, that just makes it that more impressive. Just means he's capable of much more weight. You're a beast dude!

  • No dumbass, poor form means he needs to lower the weight & perfect it.

  • wrong fuck stain, if he had "perfect" form he'd be doing MORE weight. You got a big mouth from behind your lil computer don't you? Where u from?

  • actually he is right dumbass he does need to lower the weight and make his form alot better then what it is at right now and once he gets his technique right then he can go ahead and do that weight again until then he is gonna hurt himself if not already so shut up about what you dont know.

  • Gah you're tough. I wish i was as hardcore as you. I'm not gonna lie, i'm pretty intimidated by you.

  • i fucked leanne...

    i'll burn your house down

  • wow no way you did? shit i feel bad for you and go ahead burn it to the ground i dont give a shit.

  • you need to get a more narrow grip bro... that was not good form.

  • he isnt an olympic lifter, if he was then yes that wouldnt be a "good" lift. but he's a thrower, why does he need to get his elbows up and all that. He got the weight up and thats what matters for him.

  • actually you're supposed to have you elbows high.

he did have poor form though, no squat, poor foot positioning, poor grip, and no control.

  • no squat? this is a power clean

  • Sorry - no lift. He couldn't get the bar all the way up - he never got it up to his shoulders - high chest at best, never cleaned it. And he dropped it before he had control too.

  • ur a faggot

  • hahahahaha wheres the squat? you can clean 25 lbs more if you actually did it right

  • To those of you having a technique vs. strength debate, bad or improper technique will severely limit how much you lift long term. It's better to get good technique when you are weak and build strength on it than to have lots of strength with bad technique because eventually in order to improve, you'll have to unlearn the bad way and learn to do it the right way. In essence, it's double the work. And no I cannot PC 375 so good job nevertheless.

  • your forms fine dude, good work! if you idiots wanna look at "perfect form" go watch that vid on chinese olympic lifters lol

  • Lulz

good form is what allows you to lift heavy ass shit.

so many posers talking like they know.

    sick clean btw

  • Thanks man

  • also just brute strength bud. His form was a little on the poor side no offense but if his form was better eg: better foot and hand placement and better control then he could do even more weight but good lift anyways im a junior in high school and im doing around 240

  • wow u have terrible form

  • Very impressive form, but technique always matters most. Your feet are too far apart, and you need to put your hands in narrower.

  • imagine how much he could get with good form and a narrower grip!

  • GOT IT!! haha!

  • ok so he had bad form but lets see how much hes lifting again ooo yea 375lbs how many people leaving these comments can even pick it up to there knees quit hatin

  • weight lifted doesn't mean shit when you're not even doing the motion properly.

  • so does this mean that in a lifting comp, the guy with better form wins, or the guy who puts up more weight?

  • It's the weight that matters, but you can't expect to win a high level competition with bad form because the other guy who's just as talented and trained just as hard IS going to use proper form and you'll be at a disadvantage.

  • Why is it a requirement to be able to lift that much to critique him? Your right, I can't power clean 375 pounds, but I can power clean with better form than what's in the video, so I am perfectly within my right to critique him, because he definitely needs to fix his form.

For the record, if he had better form he could do MORE weight, so your argument is sucks regardless.

  • depends on what your goal is...

  • yah and ow much do you do

  • Horrible come back. It doesn't matter if you can do 350 and he can only do 300 or if you do more then him at all if he has better technique.

  • That's not very good form. Your feet are too far apart, braski.

  • learn form

  • All arms man, still strong as hell.

  • in a rela competiton it wouldnt cont, u need to bring the bar all the way down without dropping it, also ugly form

  • that shit was ugly

  • all that power for a fucking clean that was so stupid and dont even looks good lifting it...the camara guy succesfull lifting my ass...

  • damn horrible form. dudes a fuckin

    BEAST tho.

  • As loath as I am to give somebody twice as strong as me tips....you might wanna get your elbows up in the racking position there - both to increase the amount you can rack and for the health of your wrists and elbows. Anyway, strong fucking power clean man I doubt I'll ever get mine up that far.

  • i just started power cleaning and my weight on lower has increased a lot its o good lift

  • great lift but the camera guy sounds like a dick

  • With better technique he could easily add on another 100 pounds. Brute strength is there nonetheless.

  • i know right

  • Okay, yeah he needs to hold it. Second it gets hard after you go over 225. My max s of last week was 235. I'm 16. I was hitting 210 when I was 15. At the end of the fotball season.

  • lie

  • oh yeah, well im a 5 year old little girl in the fifth grade who can squat 800 lbs...lmao, come on man, a big ego isnt good for you

  • Well, if you're 5 years old and in the 5th grade, that's a great accomplishment in and of itself. You're about 5-6 years ahead of other little girls, and the squat speaks for itself. (j/k)

  • nobody gives a shit melton. i did 195 when i was 14 and weighed only 125. since where online though, i can say i did 400 pounds when i was 14, and nobody could tell if i was lying or not. internet egos are never a good thing. mmafighters completly right.

  • lol i kno a 16 year old who does the same weight

    not dissin just sayin

im 155 and i only do 205 so trust im not braggin

  • terrible form, but you're an ox nonetheless.

  • idc...thats crazy to be able to pretty much get that weight up with only your upper body

  • great form not

  • who cares? dude he jus lifted 375 pounds off the ground and flew it on his upper chest!!!!
