@inyourwrestlinghead He repeats "in the back, in the back..." which is a portion of the live version only lyric of "There is a place in the back of my mind where I used to try".
trent reznor takes raw brilliance and he puts it in your face and never apologizes for He is a extraordinary voice for the computer age, he is a visionary in the merging of music and machine. But he reminds us of the bleakness ahead in a very perilous manner of seizes and doubts repeated in weakness and desperate anguish.
Just a reflection Just a glimpse Just a little reminder Of all the what abouts And all the might have Could have beens Another day Some other way But not another reason to continue And now you're one of us The wretched An oldie......But OH so good! Love all Trent's songs...This is now my new favorite!
When I saw them in New Jersey, they played Reptile after the frail. I didn't know whether to be elated about Reptile or disappointed about the lack of The Wretched. I am still in this emotional limbo. Help?
I see the delimma. You probably heard the wretched live during the fragility tour if you saw it. When was the last time you heard reptile live? Nine Inch Trent live is a win any way you look at it.
@HeadlessJedi *throws flames* The first time i ever saw reptile performed live i was totaly blown away, it just sounded so fucking heavy. But the wretched was the song they opened with after pinion the first time i ever saw them live, which pretty much made me a huge NIN fan forever instantly.
The Wretched makes me feel like no matter how fucked up things are, or how fucked up I am or become, I wont be alone and theres nothing to be afraid of.
I fell the same way a lot of the time, about being alone I mean. But the wretched makes me feel the same way. We're all in it together man. And now WE know, this is what it feels like.
I've never been much of a NIN fan... partly because I'ven't simply ever really listened to NIN much, just dabbled in by trying a few songs randomly. These concert videos have convinced me to perhaps give NIN a second chance....
Also, good job at the guys who created this, NIN and its fanbase are hopefully showing the record industry that artists can be succesful in the modern music market, with piracy and free stuff uploaded and created by *fans*.
It's hard to give advice on what era of NIN to start with. They are all good but different. If you listen to albums in consecutive order, you can hear the album following each is the logical conclusion to the evolution of their sound. My personal favorite is "The Fragile." There was so much awesome packed into 2 discs that I couldn't really handle it all at once. I just listened to the tracks I liked and as I got tired of those and wanted more, I found more in the other tracks.

I wake up one morning and I find a DVD in my mailbox. Before I even put it in the DVD player it gave me eargasms.
Just awesome.

I'd be disappointed about the lack of The Wretched. Reptile's a bit overrated in my opinion.

Sadly, you've missed out on one of the best live bands ever...
But you're lucky with the top quality live videos then, I guess...
