i had a via chipset based motherboard once. agp 4x slot can only support 2x cards. cannot connect 2 ide hard drives or it will not boot. onboard raid does not work. does not boot with usb keyboard/mouse. one word about via - shit.
Am i the only one who thinks a Via-Nvidia merger would be awesome?
If this whole Larrabee shebang is what its cracked up to be (and i'm not saying it is), Nvidia would be in trouble since they are the only major graphics player without an x86 license. Well, if Larrabee gains significant marketshare, that is.
Erm, no, they dont. In terms of embedded x86 processors they are still on top of their game, although with Intel trying to get into that space their future has yet to be seen. Intel tends to crush every market they get into.
No, Intel clarified on that. Larrabee was not scraped, but the high performance discreet card based on it was. They may still release integrated versions.
The Nano obliderates the Atom in benchmarks. the Atom may draw less power, but its amost always paired with a cheap power-hungry chipset, so the Nano actualy takes the advantage there too. its too bad Intel is working their advertising magic again and no companies are using the Nano.

Actually the Nano is a pretty good chip better then the Atom and you can find Nano based boards with a PCI-e x16 slot.

Larrabee has been scrapped, so it don't matter anymore but there is still a threat from the AMD Fusion
