We raised an orphan from two weeks of age. When my husband introduced her to his boss, the kitten hissed and spit at her! Even then, she was a smart cat! LOL!
Aw how adorable! I raised three orphan kittens and they did this all of the time in the beginning. They can't see too well so when they smell something unfamiliar, they hiss :)
