  • K9 LARS has since finished his protection training, and now his explosive detection training as well. He is thus now a dual trained K9, and is working as a regular in our most demanding local deployment. His offspring are likewise great working dogs now, K9 CALOY and K9 BITOY in particular, both strong explosive detector dogs (EDD K9s).

  • any dog can learn to bite.. but only few can "out" on command. lol

  • @pinoysunoy 1. not many dogs can learn to bite on command. 2. any dog can learn to out on command eventually. :)

i've bred malinois and dutch shepherds and they've showed me that they were all born to bite, the hard part is teaching them to out on command. hehe

goodluck on your training & thanks for the videos!

  • @pinoysunoy those breeds are much bitey-er than wGSDs. :) although I've seen a lot of them, too, that won't work at all. a lot of hopeless cases bred by those who want macho-dogs but are actually un-fit to have a working dog. :)

i agree... after having a great dog, its all about the trainer and the handler.. try to watch the youtube video titled "malinois in china" or the dutch shepherd "spike von leeuwen".. these dogs are naturally gifted, and the trainers are fantastic.
