  • who is the pianist??

  • Learning this now...overall not a very difficult piece technique wise and there are a lot of repeats but it requires a lot passion and emotion to properly convey its meaning. I find the part 4:03-4:29 the most challenging.

  • FANTASTICA....!!!! GRACIAS

  • 1 dislike - 1 deaf person...

  • Chopin is such a fucking badass.

  • @minitacomanofdoom lol - just randomly browsing chopin waltzes, out of bordem, and read the best comment ever :)

  • I'm not even born (still in my mother's womb) and I like this. :)

  • 1 person has a brain tumor. Poor fool.

  • @erniefernandez0102 Maybe what he/she dislikes is the rendition... Please, be polite.

  • I think in the music sheet is written "lento" and not "adagio". I don´t know why all the recordings I´ve heared run so fast.

  • @javierleonenriquez Each movements are different, and the whole piece is Rubato.

  • @zabuzato I´ve got the sheet of music in front of me(I´m studing it right now) and it´s written "Lento" very clearly... But the problem is not about playing rubato with Chopin of course, it´s just to start so fast, playing "lightly" a first section that has a clear gloomy color if played at the right tempo,LENTO, not adagio.

  • I think the pianist is very talented, but I would never dance a waltz to this, there is too much rubato.

  • @DylHsu

You can't dance to a Chopin waltz!! Are you kidding! ONly the meter is a "watlz" hopin elevated the waltz into a musical artform unequaled since

  • @DylHsu

You can't dance to a Chopin waltz!! Are you kidding! Only the meter is a "watlz" Chopin elevated the waltz into a musical artform unequaled since

  • @ragle27 No, I'm not kidding. With a little less rubato it would indeed be entirely danceable. I don't disagree that Chopin innovated within the waltz form, but it is a social dance, not a fraction on a piece of paper.

  • @DylHsu Perhaps you are correct. I have seen interpretive ballet performed to some of these works. However, the rubato is what it's all about with the Chopin waltzes. ( in fact, all of Chopin's works!) It affords the artist an opportunity to add his/her own touch to the reading. I agree that the the waltz was a social dance; Shubert and Strauss were popular then, as I am sure you know. Thanks for the reply!

  • @DylHsu duh ofc u can dance to any 3 quarter rhythm if its played on beat, but thats not how its supposed to be played

  • @SHuffleHardDieTryinG You don't know anything about chopin work then. All his masterpieces are rubato, because it's not mean to be played on the beat... Chopin wrote directly to the emotions. Pianists plays nocturnes fast and strongs, and others will play slower and pianissimo'er. It's all depending on the player. If you'd be a real piano player you would understand that pretty easily.

Chopin pieces are for freeness of play , not for dancing directly. It's possible, but not meant to.

  • @zabuzato ehhh read my comment again, understand it correctly and u will notice i said exactly what u just said.

  • @SHuffleHardDieTryinG You wrote that is not how its supposed to be played... but the tempo rubato is exactly the freeness of the play, so you are wrong.

  • @zabuzato sorry dude, i know this is old, but he's saying the same thing as you. He is saying Rubato means it is not necessarily supposed to be played on the exact rhythm, but most other 3/4 rhythms can be danced to. You just said the same thing.

  • @ragle27 LOL you'd have a pretty hard time dancing to this one... you ever seen that video where an orchestra plays a joke on their conductor in a concert and they start playing faster... and faster... and faster and the conductor is struggling to keep up. It's hilarious. This desperate look comes into his face.

  • @alex1211yt I haven't seen it, could you tell me the name of this video please ?

  • very amazing waaw it's beautiful ...

  • the first picture is wich of liszt.... but it's a chopin song !!!! :@

  • @Mimi9820 sory, it's chopin ;)

  • Please tell me who is this Pianiste.

Je voudrais bien connaitre qui est ce pianiste, Cela me touche enorme.

    ピアニストはどなたですか?素晴らしいです。

  • @mitchu721 I think it is A. Rubinstein

  • esec kidev erti imistvis rom musikit isiamovnot
