A comment I heard a few years ago... The BBC will never release the TMWHE tapes because most of the jokes were of their time, and would be lost on a modern audience...ie taking the piss out of TV shows of the early 90s and news events of the peroid.
That's silly! There's lot's of topical series that are released such as Not The Nine O' Clock News(I know, just a best of),Spitting Image, Have I got News For You(I know, another best of) and yet another best of Bremner Bird and Fortune, But it still counts.
@sptaaffe1977 looks like i will have to upload the 9 cassette tapes from 1990 then of radio 1 and the rest when i find them and convert them (done 2 small parts so far)
how the hell have the bbc lost the master tapes of this programme? i thought they only lost the tapes of old shows! although this is probably true as i've seen it repeated!!!

The show has never been released because of a disagreement between the BBC and the producers Avalon.

Loved this show! The BBC say no DVD as they've lost the master tapes.... Loved all 4 guys and I've had the pleasure of seeing them live.

I was not aware you were a Newman and Baddiel fan. I used to love this programme, got a couple of VHS tapes of their stuff kicking around.
