Well without celestial weapons I imagine this fight /would/ be a bitch... It lasted about two minutes for me. Yuna Holy-ed his butt outta there, with a little help from Auron and Masamune. I didn't even have time to enjoy the music! :( xDD

Actually it wasnt. This is Seymours fourth encounter, the third encounter is actually a toughy cause it was one of the things that made people actually quit the game. I ended up dying so much times on the third encounter but 1 shotted this boss without doing any side quests and such (arenas, omega, etc.)

A trick is to summon Shiva when the disks are all at the Blizzaga side, so when Seymour attacks it heals her. Then just use strong magic to dwindle his health.

This was my favorite battle in the entire FFX game...because of the music and the scenery in the background of Seymour. Plus, I loved Seymour's character. I thought he was so funny when he would go into his little speeches and his voice sounded really funny. The only thing that sucks about this battle is how incredibly easy it is. Seymour Flux was so much harder than the 4th time you face him. I wish this was 10x harder than it was...cause than it would be so much more fun!

This battle could have been so much more fun if he had way more HP (like around 2 million, for guys who max out characters) or should have 99,999 HP, but his physical and magic defense are maxed out. Aeons also can't do more than 9,999 damage...or should be banished as SOON as they're summoned.

Another thing...he should have a better 'best attack' than Ultima. In the third fight, his best attack was Total Annihilation, and had two deadly attacks 'Cross Cleaves' and 'lance of atrophy'

I mean, if I was designing this battle, along with the things I mentioned before, I would have Ultima or Flare be a counter attack to physical/magic attacks, have him use 2 attacks, alternating between the 2...one that causes problems with status ailments, and the other that takes off big damage to a single character. His ultimate attack should wipe out the entire party...forcing Yuna or Tidus to learn Auto-life and use that during battle.

Bottom line, Seymour should have been much harder!

Easiest Seymour Fight If You Know What You Doing, You Have Two Styles, The Noob Style And The Trainer Style The Noob Style Which I Prefer Lets You Just Do A Couple o Damage On Him Then Summoning The Aeon That Matches With The Element And Then Use The Overdrive, The Trainer Way Is Training Them To The Max And Then Just Using Your Moves An You Will Have A Easier Time With Sin's One Million HP, Hope It Helps.

Wow. 136 hours. I have killed penance and got all celestial weapons in 112 hours. And there is lot of extra hours cuz i have trained all of my characters to full, well, you know, the whole modified sphere grid (using strenght spheres to clear +1 and so on. This boss is actually pretty hard if you haven't pumped your characters this much.

The Celestial weapons have Break Damage Limit which lets you hit for more than the 9999 cap, you can also add the trait to an upgradable weapon with 99 dark matter
