You use DVD-R. It must. But Nero 8 can Burn any DVD. DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW

The thing with Nero is most people complain that it only replicates the DVD as an ISO or Video_Ts/Audio_Ts folder without shrinking it the way dvd shrink can. Most movies are on dual layer dvds and most people only get the standard 4.7 gig blank dvds so shrinking the DVD is the best way to back it up

if you want pixelation, blocky,and sometimes poor frames conversions by all means stick with dvd shrink, but if you want pristine, clear, and smooth video, buy the CCE basic encoder for 50 odd dollars or dish out 1950$ on the CCE SP version which allows for multiple VBR passes, GOP capabilities and scene change detection.

I got 100% working cracked versions of the software and they perform flawlessly, if your smart in this world, you'll realize that there is no need to to pay for anything on the internet (music, software, videos etc) because chances are there are free/ cracked versions that you can obtain right at the tip of your fingers. dvd rebuilder costs 30$, I have a 100% working cracked version of it that performs flawlessly, CCE SP costs 1950$, I have a 100% working cracked version of that also.

Suppose you were to want to illegally copy dvd's, you should use magic DVD copier. its much easier. Just put the dvd in, press start and when prompted just put in a blank dvd-r. plus it only takes about 1hr or less not like 2-3hours like dvd shrink.

DVD Shrink takes 3 hours for you? For myself it is usually 40 minutes and some people say its faster for them others say its slower. I guess it is all based upon your computers specs. (Processor, Ram and DVD Drive being the main ones)

Hi Most Burning Suites Should work, Some people say the new nero suite wont work for new copy right protection. I would say use the new sonic or Roxio even Nero 6 or lower should work

There aren'y alot of HD DVD burners or Bluray burners on the market yet i bet alot of HD media software will come out when it becomes more common, just like when DVD's first came out HD DVD and Bluray have not been getting much attention from piraters

This is a little more complicated than just backing up the whole dvd you have to go to re-author mode and select the components of the dvd that you want to keep, the actual video would probably be the video_ts with the largest file size

Cyclic rendundancy errors occour when the disc is damaged and it cant read the data, so its probably because the disc your using is dirty, scratched or chipped

No, dvd shrink only can back up dvd's and shrink the file size (Dual layer dvds can be compressed to fit onto a normal 4.7 gig dvd)

It could be because your dvd player does not handle the format of the dvd properly, the dvd you used could have been scratched or it could be an error with the decryption while backing up

Well I can help you with that. You can't play WMV files on a DVD player and I don't think they will even burn. But you can export it from Windows movie maker. When you export it. Make it a Mpeg or AVI. Then use a program like Nero to burn it on DVD. You cannot use DVD shrink to burn files like AVI, etc.
